My girlfriend and I decided to try Gateway Cleaners out because it is a few blocks from her house, even though we have seen reviews that it is overpriced. This place is overpriced, it cost my girlfriend $13.90 to dry clean 2 items that normally cost $8.00 at our other dry cleaners. When I picked up my items and took them home I realized that my suit pants were missing. I called back Gateway Cleaners the next day and asked about the missing suit pants. The person who answered the phone was unable to find them, he informed me that he would take a deeper look around and call me back later on that day. Two days passed and i did not hear anything from Gateway. When I called back someone answered the phone and immediately hung up. I called back again and the phone went to voicemail. Its very frustrating that they treat there customers this way. Gateway is overpriced and their service is substandard. I will not be going to them again and would recommend that others stay away too.

I recently moved to st.louis and ive got this cleaners recommended by one of my co worker. But i had such an awful experience with this cleaners. First of all, it is really pricey and seems like they would just add up for w.e they feel like. Ive gave them 20 pieces for shirts and when i got it back i was missing one shirt and 2 shirts had holes by the elbows. They told me they just everything b/f the process so i was wrong and it ended up being my fault that my shirts had holes right at the same places. Anyway, they told me to leave my shirts their and they will call me back but they still havnt called me yet. Ive spoken with the owner on the phone but i barely understood what he said i believe he wasnt born here. Anywya, it spent my money to get ma shirts destroyed, I absoluatly dont want anyone to experience the same thing i did. GOOdluck

This is a very expensive cleaners. It doesnt get a lot of customers, but it mainly stays in business due to the same reoccurring rich customers that come in. Instead of giving you your price right away, they prefer you to drop off your clothes and leave so they can rack up the charges. Some customers even leave their credit cards on file. Who does that? None of the prices are objective except for laundered business shirts. Everything else is what the counter person feels like charging you.
