I cant say enough good things about the friendliness of the particular plumber thats been to my house multiple times to work on the lateral in my back yard. That said, when his boss came out to initially check out the job, the boss first went to the wrong house (kind of a sign of things to come) because he simply wasnt paying attention to things. The boss said it was an easy fix, no problem, etc. On the companys next visit out, the plumber said he was going to scope the lateral so he could see exactly where the pipe was broken. Theres a giant sinkhole in the back yard so its relatively obvious, but whatever. The plumber said he couldnt get his scope into the lateral and would need to cable it. Unfortunately, he didnt have that equipment with him. On the companys next visit out, the plumber said he was going to cable the lateral so he could run his scope. I had to leave to go to work and when I got home there was a note on the door stating that the plumber was unable to cable through the lateral. Long story short, theres a giant sinkhole in my back yard and in decent rains, my basement floods (with sewer water). The lateral is clogged/damaged and needs to be replaced. This company has been out 3 separate times now, woefully unprepared and/or unsuccessful in accomplishing just about anything, and 4 weeks after initial contact...my basement still floods, the lateral is still damaged, and this company still hasnt done a single thing to fix any of it. If you have a really significant issue, Id recommend using somebody else.

The negative reviews puzzled me so I felt compelled to tell my, more positive story about a great local company. I hired Redington based on multiple personal recommendations and the initial interview with one of the owners. The scope of the project included replacement of the collapsed sewer line, stacks, new kitchen and baths, sump pump, and detection and repair of deteriorated gas lines in a mixed use building in the Tower Grove Heights neighborhood. This was a historic restoration, so sensitivity to the existing structure combined with a strict budget made choosing the right contractors difficult. I could not have been more pleased with my decision to go with Redington. They were responsive and professional in all aspects of the project and even made suggestions on how to avoid maintenance problems in the future. Little on this project was standard so I especially appreciated that each plumber on the job adhered to the architects plans and did their best to work with the other contractors on site to avoid costly delays in project completion. Highly recommend.

Whatever I need, night or day, it gets done, right the first time and at the right price. Whether its a high end bathroom refit or a tenant emergency, Redington takes care of me. Ive referred them to friends, family and other business partners and never had a complaint. Five starts all the way.

We engaged JE Redington to get to the bottom of a stubborn basement water problem. After so many trials and tribulations, I dont even remember what the final fix was. But they hung with us and found a solution which we appreciated very much. Not the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for. Great service and in a timely fashion. My water heater went out a few days before Christmas and they were able to get one installed around my schedule as I was leaving town for the holidays. Also, they noticed a few other issues with pipes once they were in my basement and fixed those without upping the quoted price. Happy customer here!

I called for a service and it was originally accepted but then recvd a call back with bogus reason as to why they could not take the job. I called Kirkwood Plumbing and was able to get in with no problems. Customer Service person was rude and ignorant. I would not recommend this business.
