Granted this place is cheap and the people doing hair are still students, so you cant really expect to get the same service you would get from an experienced hairdresser. However, even with keeping this in mind, I was disappointed. They did okay on an all over color job (but I mean it is a little hard to mess that up) but cutting and styling was another story. Only have an instructor cut your hair (unless you are having a barber student do it). Turns out, the students only have a matter of weeks--not months-- in a classroom before they start cutting hair, and quite frankly that just isnt enough time. They are supposed to be supervised by instructors, but those instructors are few and far between which makes it hard to tend to every students request for help without making them wait a long time. I also ended up telling the girl to stop styling my hair because Id rather spend time doing it myself and making it look good. All in all, pay the extra money for a licensed, experienced professional to do your hair. Its worth it to be happy with your hair.

Ive been to cosmetology school, and I know what its like to need the "practice", but the girl who did my hair was unprofessional. When cutting my hair shed take literal chunks and chop and it. More than once there was so much hair she was attempting to cut, her scissors couldnt do it. I never go in and say Ive been to school, and act like a know it all. I try to act like a customer and let them do what they are suppose to. I know every school is different, and I didnt go to school here..... I have layers that dont match at all, and my hair is quite a bit shorter than I wanted. Like I said though, I am willing to let people "practice" on me because Ive been there, but this poor girl was in a hurry to finish because her friend was going to color her hair. Also, when I walked in there were a whole bunch of students just doing nothing. Sitting, playing on their phones, doing their hair,standing around the front desk.... Yet I had to wait almost an hour for a hair cut?? I wont be back, but the hair cut was cheap, and I am glad for that!

Reviewing as a customer - the online reservation system did not work and when I did make a reservation over the phone, the time was not honored. (Very casual about letting me sit while the students "got going" for the morning.) This was not an issue with the students - this was an issue with a reservation system that made an appointment for me at a time in the morning when it was clear no one was typically "ready to go." Perhaps if you have time and just walk-in you will have better luck... Cost was modest and haircut was OK (they are students after all), but overall was not worth the hassle and I have not been back.

Great place for a haircut. While the person giving you the haircut is a student they are obviously well trained. In addition they have instructors who are always checking to be sure that you receive a first rate cut. A quality hair cut at half the price of most salons. Now that is what I call an excellent value. If you are looking for a school I would highly recommend you go here. Then when you graduate you can be sure the clients coming to you are getting the best value available. Talk to Melissa. She will be sure you receive the best training available.

Honestly you cant find a better place to get your hair done. These people are professional, clean and the prices are a steal. I started going when I moved to Springfield about a year ago and still continue to go to this day. In hooked.
