First, I always heard buzzing sound each time I started the engine. I was almost sure that this sound came from my alternator. I changed the alternator on this auto center in 2015. I think for a while that Im lucky as it carries full warranty. After I left my car for an inspection, I was told that the sound didnt come from alternator, but from somewhere else. I was very suspicious that they might exploit my inability to understand what the real problem was. I think they think they dont want to take the burden of full warranty. Then I went to Advance Auto Parts for free test and it took less than 30 seconds to see that the alternator must be changed. I got second opinion from my friend who is a car technician. With no doubt, he concluded that sound comes from the alternator. I was right that they lied to me about my car. Now if their manner had been rude, I would have been tolerant and would not have cared to write it here. But this is a pure lie and blatant disregard which I cannot afford to tolerate. I cannot afford a lawyer to sue them; hence, the best I can do is to make sure whoever reads this review ``do not go this place. The rule is simple: if you give a full warranty, you have to honor your promise. If you bend the truth to escape from warranty obligations for financial reasons, then this will not be just a lie, but also a steal. This type of behavior needs to be punished by the customers by not going to this center. Kind regards.

Went in to this location for an 80$ alignment on my dodge Truck, however they tried to bamboozled me into a 640$ dollar fix ( Bunch of Crooks) . Hours prior to my visit I Installed a New Inner Tie Rod on my Vehicle with a Brand new Part out of the Box From Napa Auto Parts. I paid 100$ dollars for the inner tie rod from Napa earlier that day and installed it myself. Dropped it off 2 hours later received a Call saying the Brand new part I just installed was bent. They wanted 160$ Dollars for that exact part plus install. . So an 80$ Dollar alignment turned into them proposing a 640$ fix for parts on a vehicle that were brand new and in perfect working order. Keep in mind place like this get a huge discount on parts from your everyday auto parts dealers. I returned to this location to pull my vehicle off the rack and they informed me that they were wrong and nothing on the vehicle was bent or worn down. They just wanted to Make close to 500$ on a unsuspecting customer. Would never take a vehicle to this location or any Dobbs for that matter again in my lifetime.

Oh boy, where to start? I took my car in to figure out why my coolant thermostat was making the check engine light come on. They told me it was from a hard to get to leak and it would be $1600 to fix. What they didnt tell me was that they wanted to unnecessarily replace EVERY SINGLE PART that theyd have to touch to fix the problem. I took my car to get a 2nd opinion at a local mechanic, they ran tests only to realize the leak was a much simpler fix that cost $92. $92!!!!!!!!! In the end, just know Dobbs is completely full of crap and will do everything they can to screw you out of money. Nothing they told me was true, it was all LIES. Expensive lies at that! This is a horrible company with horrible employees. Please go somewhere else. Heck, just drive your car into a lake, youll swin out of the lake feeling less frustrated than you will Dobbs.

Unbelievable BAD experience...My 57 year old wife too her car in for an inspection. DOUG KOVAK told her she needed a battery and wiper blades that she did not need. $30 turned into $300 because they took advantage of her not knowing. They BROKE her grill. DOUG KOVAK said they didnt do it. THEY are the Only ones that have Ever opened the hood other than the Mini dealer! Took the car to the dealer. The grill is $87+ 70 for labor. DOUG KOVAK was Extremely Rude and Unprofessional when I showed him the car. To Top it Off, the wiper blades were NOT Even put on right. The passenger side does Not touch the windshield for 3 or 4 inches. DOUG KOVAK REFUSED to fix it and make it right. If I could give them a Minus 5 stars I would. Best Advice is to STAY Away or bring Vaseline...

DO NOT use this place. My family has used dobbs for the past 10 years spending thousands at this place to later fined out we have been getting lied to the whole time. My most recent experience was the final straw because i finally had hard evidence they were telling me i needed to fix things that were not broken. My lights supposedly needed to be repaired for $100. I asked to let me see them first and when i picked up my car MY LIGHTS WERE FINE. It is unbelievable how much this place will try and find something wrong with your car. If you like being tricked into paying for unnecessary repairs this is your place otherwise you should avoid at all cost. I have reported them to the BBB but sadly even with many other complaints, there probably isnt much else that can be done to stop them.

I got a coupon in the weekly fliers for a $24.95 oil change. Went to the Mid Rivers Mall store and dropped it off. Came back 2 hours later to pick it up and the total is $37.71. What the ad doesnt tell you is that they also charge $3.56 environmental fee which is not in the ad. The technician also said mine took 6 quarts. The ad does state "up to 5 quarts", so they charged $5.95 for an additinal quart. I checked the dipstick when I got home and it has 1/2 a quart too much. The ad is very misleading. I might even send it to the attorney general in Missouri and see if he agrees. Ill never go back to Dobbs again for anything. If you buy a 3-pack at carx its much cheaper, $18 per oil change!

These guys will not honor there road hazard warranty! When I brought in my 5 month old tire with an obvious sidewall puncture and told them that I ran over a piece of metal on the highway, the manager on duty AJ told me the evidence suggested that I hit a curb or a pothole. When I mentioned that potholes are covered in the warranty he told me "it was a curb and we dont have that tire in stock anyways." Well I consulted an accident reconstruction professional that I happen to know and he confirmed that it is definitely not damage from a curb and is an obvious puncture. Dobbs honor your warranty or I will see you in small claims court.

Went in for just a state inspection. Was told that my transmission fluid was dirty and needed service. I have a sealed transmission (no dipstick), so how did they check the fluid. I was told ( by the manager) they could check it without a dipstick and that it is recommended to change it every 45,000 miles. Its a Ford and the recommended service interval for my make is 150,000. When I told this to the manager, he said he just goes by what the techs tell him and he does not know anything else about it... what a crooked place.. I bet if I said yes, do the service, they would have charged me and not done anything.
