I have had three very bad experiences at this particular Office Max. The cashier gives the impression that her salary depends on declining rewards cards. The rewards perks have been useless for me, because they always find some way to say they are not valid for THAT purchase. Most recently, the cashier looked at my $15 reward card (for $50 purchase, which I had in my cart) and told me it wasnt good until June 20. When I questioned her about a reward not starting until a couple of weeks in the future, she shrugged her shoulders. Unfortunately I didnt have my reading glasses. When I got home and looked at the reward card, it in fact expires June 19, and of course, is valid anytime between now and June 20. That is, it should be. The sales clerk at that same store also recently told me a particular pen was no longer being made by the manufacturer. They happily sold me something else. Lie. I later discovered the pen has NOT been discontinued.

If the sales person (manager in my case) tells you that it will be easy to get a refund (gift card) should the equipment you buy extra coverage (MaxAssurance) for breaks down, is not telling you the exact truth!!!!! I already had my HP Printer replaced FOUR TIMES! I requested a reimbursement and the MaxAssurance IT supervisor said that if they have a replacement I will NOT be entitled to a reimbursement. Furthermore, in order to even be considered for a reimbursement you must meet a long list of criteria. Once you call your issue in and explain the situation, you are then forwarded to the IT support – to explain your situation. After that, they forward you to CyberTest – to explain your situation, etc.

If I could of gave them no stars I would have. I purchased a laptop from this location yesterday and they told me either come back tonight or tommorow because it had a demo mode so it couldnt be hooked up to the Internet. When I came back they said it had crashed the hard drive and they would give me a replacement. When I asked for the specs he said it wasnt as good it had less memory and less ram and it also the processor was not as good and the screen was small but thats the best he could do. And he agreed it wasnt a better laptop. He wasnt willing to replace with anything else because it was the last one they had in stock.

The salesman was really an amazing technician and explained everything to me in understandable terms. He was an older man but was spot on with all the new technology my boss sent me in to purchase.
