Money stolen and they didnt care....After my evening workout, I encountered a black man using the locker next to mine. He commented on what a good workout he had but I never saw in the gym nor did he appear sweaty. I stopped him as he was leaving and told him he left his clothes in the locker. Obviously, it was someone elses locker he was in. The next day when I was making a purchase, I discovered the $100 I had in my billfold was gone! I knew immediately who took my money. I called the gym and they said they would check on it and call me back. No one did. I called again and asked for the manager, same response. I contacted the general manager for the Omaha clubs and had a more receptive ear. He checked with Midtown Crossing and was told they knew who had been stealing and evidently we were not the only victims. The man was using a day pass. My wifes son managed Golds Gym and told us day passes are always suspect and that they take special precautions anytime they accept a walkin using a day pass. Evidently Prairie Life does not. They never reimbursed me nor did they offer any compensation. After my membership was up, I never renewed.

I signed up last week with Andrew M. I live in the area, and was a member at Pinnacle previous, but there seemed to be a major pull-factor through my neighbors, co-workers and clients to Prairie Life @ Midtown, so I tried it. Andrew replied to email immediately, and we met at a time that was convenient for me. The tour was great, and the facilities are well kept. Ive noticed a really big sense of community amongst the members, and there seems to be no caveats attached. The treadmills belts are not slipping like at the previous gym, and the location is directly next to Wohlners. I am trying to get back in shape, and they offer many classes, which my friends all continuously talk about. Anyways, I was checking the times on here and thought I would share my experience with everyone.

They close the gym way too early for what they charge you. The should close at 10 or 11 pm at least. 9 pm is just too early and now they want you to leave the gym before 9 pm, so that the staff can go home to study. So selfish and unprofessional! And what about the nearly $100 that I paid for the month on a temporal membership. Screw themselves! They will end up closing the gym with that attitude. It was better with Carrie Hoops as manager before and now for a Tuesday it was so empty. Things are not well in this gym. Now the students are the staff and they feel that they own the place. I am going from now on only to the 132nd St & W Center PLF. At least they close at 12 am and treats you better.

Prairie Life is the same as any other gym; nobody is forcing you to sign the contract. You should 1) make sure you read it and 2) make sure you can actually pay for the membership. With that out of the way, I really like this gym. Of course all the machines are newer, and they offer a lot of different classes and services if youre into that sort of thing. Its not too busy or crowded even at peak hours, and the staff is pretty friendly. My only problem is that the way the gym is designed doesnt allow for any true lifting; you wont be doing many deadlifts, snatches, or cleans here.

I love Prairie Life in Midtown. The staff is really really amazing. They are all knowledgable and really personable. Jeremy, Matt, Beth, Lindsey, and Kristin have really good customer service. All the trainers are really helpful too. The equipment is new and its never too busy that you cant get a good work out in! I train with Kristin and she is absolutely amazing. In November of 2013, I was 129 lbs, 22% body fat and now seven months later Im 110 and 16% body fat. Im in the best shape of my life and even though I live out West now, I still come to PLF in Midtown every day.

Honestly this place doesn t even deserve a star. This place is a complete ripoff. Beware of their hidden annual fee and monthly service charge. Received bill $350+ without any mail, phone call, or email about this. When calling regarding overdue balance, the staffs were rude and told me Well this is your own problem! You signed the contract! I m a business woman and if any of my employee tell my customers this, he/she would be fired on the spot. You can find other gyms for half the price with much more people manner.

An outstanding gym with a positive and supportive atmosphere, Prairie Life Fitness in Midtown Crossing has far exceeded the expectations of this lifetime gym goer. What you get: quality equipment, great staff, a comfortable ambient temperature, plenty of cardio machines (even at peak hours), positive and friendly fellow members, and a clean and neat locker room among other things. What you dont get: an expensive price. The fees are very reasonable. Ive lost 40 lbs here since I joined in November. Join!

Aside from two or three billing issues on the part of a third party, Ive had nothing but positive experiences with this gym. The operations and billing staff are helpful, prompt and will get you what you need with minimal hassle. The trainers and athletic staff members are knowledgeable, helpful, and most of all extremely flexible with their availability. While the initial investment of membership may be higher than average, the benefits and ease of access to all PL locations makes it worthwhile.

The staff is very friendly and approachable. I train with Michael and he has pretty much saved my life. He is very encouraging and supportive, even if your sessions are up and you arent paying him anymore, he still holds you accountable and is there for you if you need him. Thanks to Prairie Life fitness I have lost 55lbs so far. They have been nothing but wonderful to me. They are my second home/second family. The gym is clean and has great views of the city.

Its a gym. It has everything you need to work out (no pool though), albeit a touch on the expensive side. Theyre an absolute pain to deal with, though. They wouldnt charge me via EFT on an account for which I dont have checks, yet demanded I have a check in order to set up EFT. Expect to have them tack fees onto your account rather than call you if theres a problem. From what Ive heard from friends and coworkers, this is a common problem here.

The trainers here are horribly stuck-up and rude. Particularly the male trainers. They give you the head-nod when you say hello... nice people-skills they are teaching their staff! I tried to ask a trainer named Michael a question about training and he treated me like a JERK! I decided not to join because of the awful vibe of the people at the Midtown location. Joined Anytime fitness in old market, MUCH nicer and approachable staff.

The midtown facility is very clean and never feels crowded. Free 3 hour parking right next to the gym. A wide variety of equipment and an indoor track, attractive plate glass windows looking out toward the Missouri River. Great personal trainers - Im not at all athletic and Brent has been very helpful in meeting me where I am and helping me set realistic and challenging goals.
