My daughter recently purchased a new car that only came with one remote head key. We made a couple of phone calls and found the cheapest place was Alpine Lock and Key. These keys can run well over $500. Gone are the days that a locksmith would come to your car. Gone are the days were any key you had could be cut at a small kiosk or the closest general store. Alpine lock and key is off Ryland. The store has a large variety of key items, remotes, chains, along with a large inventory of gun and jewelry safes. The guys who work here are so friendly and knowledgeable. Customer service seems to be their number one priority. I talked with the gentleman who was making our remote head key. We talked about how in the old days my dad would do business on your word and a handshake. He said that is how it should be. My husband asked about how many remote head keys you could have. They looked the information up and gave us the answer. My husband had a couple of other questions to which they looked up and made sure that the information they were giving was accurate. How awesome is that. After cutting the key another gentleman grab some cable electronic looking device to take the new remote head key out to program. As you can tell this was not your average key and not your average service. When the guy came back he asked if we needed anything else. Sure wish I had gotten their names as they were all so kind and polite.

We had a terrible experience this morning with Alpine Lock and Key. We had an appointment this morning at 10 A.M. with "Mitch". He had told us that he would call roughly a half hour before arriving, but failed to do so. We waited until after our scheduled appointment time to call to find out where "Mitch" was. It was at that point he informed us he was running around 45 minutes late. He was extremely unprofessional and didnt offer an apology or a reason as to why he late. We decided to take that time and find someone who could be on time and do the job at a lower price. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and if I could I would give them 0 stars.

I walked into the store and waited for 5 minutes, watched two guys behind the counter talking amongst themselves then the older guy went back to his desk to play video games on his computer, the other guy was working on cutting a key, I stood there right in front of both of them and neither one acknowledge that I was even there, like I was invisible, no hellos, be right with you, NOTHING. The store was dingy and dirty. I went to another locksmith , Desert Locksmiths on 5th Street, great people, very helpful, knowledgeable and very polite.

I called a locksmith located off of south Reno. Same old story, way south Reno! 55 and could be more! Then guy shows up and said my 2001 was eighty five and thirty five for service call. 10:30 am. Make another call and Danny shows up! Pops my lock and makes me a key, spare at the site in his van! $65.00 rather than $120.00! Danny told me he charges $110.00 after midnight!

I called a different locksmith company came out and couldnt open the door and told me it was $15 and when she got here told me it would be 100... So I threw her out!!! James came and was very professional open the lock in less than five minutes and gave me a cheaper price than he originally said over the phone because it was easier to open.... Thanks again

Called at midnight and waited 3 hours to get a lock done. Im not sure if these guys are trustworthy, I felt like I was bothering the guy. Do not recommend. I feel like I rolled the dice and came up snake eyes. 3 hours is a long time when you are stranded. Will call someone else next time.

I was able to go in and get a replacement for snapped hyundai key. They where even able to work with me in program my FOBs all for under 50 dollars great locksmith. Mike was really helpful in getting me all set and out the door

Seriously outstanding service. Friendly, patient and very knowledgable. Re-keyed my locks for a full size pick-up tonneau cover lock with ease. Very affordable and well worth every penny. This is the locksmith you recommend.

Prompt friendly service, helpful and knowledgeable employees, fair prices. If you need a new key, call these guys. I lost mine, called them the next morning, and by 930 I had 3 new keys for my car.
