I am the owner of this shop and felt I needed to defend myself for the negative comment posted by Franz Joseph. Franz, as I said to him in the shop. "I would rather have you leave the shop upset that you didnt get a haircut than leave the shop with a bad cut." We suggest to all customers that when they go to any barbershop (and yes there are many in Dover) that taking a shower or at least washing the product out of your hair and combing it rather than rolling out of bed and putting a winter hat on is a good idea. As I said to this customer in the shop, "Longer cuts require the hair to be clean and product free to get a good cut. Putting a winter hat on over bed head mats the hair down making it impossible to do a precision cut, I can do the cut but I would rather not until you wash your hair and comb it." The reason barbershops charge $14 for a haircut vs $30 that a salon might charge is because barbershops dont wash and dry hair, this is an additional expense. I am thinking that is what this customer meant by "not enough equipment." One thing we believe in is that every cut represents the shop and felt that I made the right decision with not cutting your hair. To be honest with you I have had many instances like this in my 15+ years of barbering and everyone but you has thanked me for my honesty and come back to the shop for a great cut. Im sorry you left unhappy but am not sorry we did not cut your hair. Normally I let stuff like this go but I felt that anyone reading this Google rating should know the true facts. Thank you.

Ive been here twice now and have gotten great haircuts. Im a veteran and like to try to keep a military fade still just out of habit and because I have thin hair so I cant really do much with it anyway. I noticed a few Marine Corps stickers and asked the barber about them and he told me the owner was a former Marine, so I immediately got my hopes up that they could do a good fade. I had been getting really bad fades at other shops in the area and thought Id never find a barber away from a base that could do a good fade. The first time I went it was empty so I got right into a chair but the second time I had to wait over an hour because it was a Friday night (my fault didnt consider payday) but it was worth the wait. The only feedback I have is that the barber should ask each person if they have a punch card or would like one because after that wait I forgot to give him mine and also it will encourage repeat business if they ask each person. Secondly, I know this is silly but it is true, if you are going to say you have beer for waiting customers make sure it actually has beer in it. It was empty both times I went. Not a big deal of course but I was kind of let down because it was one of the things that drew me there.

At first glance this shop looks like it might be the coolest barber shop you could enter from a guys perspective. Pool tables, cool aesthetic boston-esque decorations on the walls. It would be a great place to grab a beer which is great because they have a beer vending machine. But when it comes to cutting hair the barbers here are amateurs. They dont have enough barbers or equipment to service them. On the phone they said they dont make regular appointments for anyone but nobody waits more than fifteen minutes. I sat in a chair for a half hour and listened to the barber make up stuff to his current customer. By the time I sat down to get my hair cut and I told him what I wanted, he said that he could do it but it wouldnt come out looking good cause they dont normally do that cut. Im all for honesty, but honestly if youre telling me you dont have the confidence to cut my hair why are you a barber. Also cuts are $14 starting. There are several other barber locations around Dover to get your hair cut in the area both cheaper and done by a true professional.

If you are of African American decent; you should not go to this barber shop! The worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life! They will recreate your hairline and of course it wont be straight! To add insult to injury; my sons mowhawk was slightly off centered to the left (this maybe good if the side-mowhawk was in style). The fades are so bad, I could cut my own hair with two mirrors and do a better job. Honestly, this is real talk! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY THERE!!!!! The bad thing about it is, they actually think they can cut! Go to the Dominicans, Koreans, or a real Black Barber shop in Boston area... I have found myself driving 1 1/2 hours just to avoid this barber shop.... REAL TALK NO CHASERS!!!!!

I have 3 boys ages 18, 12 and just over 1 years old! They all go to Boston Barbers and LOVE their cuts! There is often a wait, its worth it! The guys who work there never NEVER rush and ALWAYS make sure the cuts are perfect and just what the boys want. The hot towel shaves are Christmas/Fathers Day/Birthday present worthy for that special man in your life too. I would highly recommend them to any guy!

I went here because my usual place had a crazy long wait. This place, 5 mins. The cut was okay, but I am easy going and walk past most mirrors without stopping. Two stars because I had no choice but to listen to political talk for 20 minutes. Maybe religion was up next? I dont know, I wont be back to find out.

Sat and waited for an hour while 2 barbers completed 3 haircuts, 1 of the barbers screwed up 2 guys haircuts pretty bad, they were VERY SLOW, They were more interested in chatting and looKung at videos on there cell phones then the several customers waiting, highly unprofessional, I wont be back

Really like going here. Consistently good haircuts from several of the staff barbers. Man-cave decor. I go out of my way to get up here. Easy parking, which is a plus in Dover.
