Ive been to Splash Salon and Spa twice. My previous salon closed unexpectedly and after doing some online research I decided to give Splash a chance. My first appointment was with Marisol for a haircut. She was very nice, saw me on time, listened to my concerns and made suggestions. Overall, I didnt feel bad dishing out twice the amount of money I usually pay for a haircut. I had made my next appointment with her, but a few days before the appointment, I received a call saying that she is out of the country and that they need to cancel my appointment. The woman who called was very pleasant and professional. I decided I couldnt wait for Marisols return and made an appointment with Colleen. My appointment was for this past Saturday, a day before Mothers Day. I arrived on time, gave my name to the receptionist who acknowledged me and said she would let Colleen know that I am here. I kid you not, I waited 25 minutes and not one person came out to say "Sorry, she is running late, can I offer you some water or anything?". I had my kid with me at the time, so timeliness was of the essence. Granted, the salon was a zoo, people coming and going, phone ringing non-stop, one of the owners enlisting the help of the mall cops to escort an irate customer out. I have seen several employees walk right by me to get their drinks and not one of them as much as smiled at me or asked if I am being helped. After 25 minutes I have had enough and walked over to the receptionist and told her that Ive been waiting here for a long time. She looked at me with what could easily be described as a "deer in the headlights" look, glanced at the computer screen, looked back at the stylists station and told me "Oh, she is still working on a client". Not the response I expected. Something along the lines of "I am very sorry, let me go check with her". I got a very clear feeling that neither Colleen (the stylist) nor the salon as whole wanted my business and handled this in a very unprofessional manner. After reading the reviews, I allowed myself to discard my previous opinions of mall hair salons, but after last weeks experience, I am sticking to it. My kid gets better service at the Super Cuts and thats without an appointment. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who expects an ounce of respect or professionalism. They dont want your business, so youd be better off taking it elsewhere. I went to a small salon in my town and not only was I seen that same day, the service and the haircut were stellar! My Mothers Day was rescued after all. Stay away from Splash Salon and Spa!

I heard of this spa from a friend who saw it on the groupon website. I decided to purchase the Sea spa manicure and hot spa pedicure groupons for my 2 daughters and I. There were two options, 1 for a single treatment, and one for 2 treatments, therefore one for each of us. When we got to the spa to make an appointment at the desk, we informed the grumpy looking young women about our groupons and showed them to her. We told her we need 3 appointments and she told us that since they only have two nail designers, she can only do two appointments together and one right after. We agreed to that option and left knowing that we all had an appointment in 2 weeks. Two weeks went by and our appointments came. When we got to the salon the same unhappy women was sitting there biting her nails, obviously not showing a care for what was going on around her. I asked about our appointments and she told us we only have two. When I asked her why, she snapped back with the comment of saying that the two treatment groupon can only be used on the same person twice. If she was to inform us of this while making our appointment I wouldnt be as unhappy as I was at that moment. The women obviously was aware of the situation because she did state the first time that she is making 3 appointments, what she was actually doing was ripping us off. This day was meant to be spent with my daughters for my oldest 16th birthday, and I ended up sitting in the mall waiting for them. I dont know why someone like this is working at a social job that takes communication skills when all she does is frown and look into her phone. Even on the phone she sounded rude when she confirmed my 3 person appointment. Also, the groupon is only for a nail polish manicure. To upgrade to a gel manicure it costs an additional $15... in a normal nail salon it only costs $5 for a gel coat...yet again another rip off. I would like to mention though that my daughters did say that the nail technicians were very nice and did a good job. I am very disappointed though and would never recommend this place to anyone if you are looking for a nice experience.

I am so agree with Karin and Ashley review... I wanted to try new good salon and researched salons in the area. I read lot of good review but didn’t think there will be big scam behind the so many good review..I got a haircut on Wednesday of this week and was really looking forward to trying the salon since it has received such great reviews. First, it was extremely difficult to get an appointment scheduled. Initially I booked my appointment for Kaitlin Nielsen. When I reached to saloon at time of appointment front desk lady said to me she is on vacation. we have junior stylist Ashley DeFalco is there and she is good. I was little upset and told her that I specifically made an appointment with Kaitlin. And I rescheduled again for Tuesday 5:00.I was at saloon by 5:10 due to 287 Route construction traffic. Kaitlin said to me,i cant work on your hair since it is 5:10 and appointment was at 5:00 and I have my regular client appointment at 6:00.I said to her I don’t have big long hair and I think 50 minits enough for my hair cut. She was firm and I had to rescheduled the appointment again.( Don’t know why did I do it )Next day in afternoon when I was there at saloon on right time, She finished job in just 30 mint including hair washing from some other girl. I didn’t like her hair cut at all since I told her to cut my hair little shorter, take of all the split hairs and do some bangs, layers..The whole time I was there I have got sales pitch after another as Karin mentioned her review. The stylist was a supposed to be very experienced, It cost me $50!+ tip The haircut I got wasnt even worth . Im sorry to say I will not be returning again ever. They have good sales gimmick…At the end I came to know why there are so many good reviews for all staff members. Kaitlin said to me if you write good review about my service next time you will get 10$ off.I would never try again here.

DO NOT BUY THEIR GROUPON, UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET A BAD MANI/PEDI. I really would like to give this place 0 stars. It is frustrating to see how they ever received "a best of the best" award. I had purchased a groupon for this place for their mani/pedi deal they offered. I opted to get the gel manicure for an **extra $15** on top of the Groupon price. Up until the point I had made the appointment, things was fine, but it all went downhill from there. I was greeted very pleasantly by my manicurist. I thought this would be a groupon worth enjoying, but it seemed that this person was new person to the whole manicure/pedicure area of expertise, as she really wasnt sure how to give a proper foot or hand massage during the whole experience (included in this groupon). Two days after my manicure, my GEL manicure started to chip, and by the end of the 5th day of my vacation, one of my nails manicure completely peeled off. Now I have gotten a Gel Manicure before, and they are definitely not supposed to chip off that easily. I am not sure what kind of products they use, but they are not of the best quality. Also, this place has A VERY LIMITED supply of nail colors in their Gel collection. Lastly, when I reached out to one of their managers Kaitlin (I think), I told them that its been around a week and my Gel Manicure on two of my fingers have completely peeled off..the response was, oh, well we cant help you. I would have appreciated AT LEAST an offer to fix two of my freaking nails. All in all, few things are for sure, DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR MANI/PEDI NEEDS ESP IF YOU HAVE A GROUPON--you will deal with an incompetent staff with an incompetent manager who has no idea how to deal with customers. My generous tip + $15 + the cost of the groupon was definitely a COMPLETE WASTE of my money at this place.
