Staff is friendly, knowledgeable about climbing. Wide range of membership options (day pass, week, month, year..). Rentals are well worth the cost here, though shoes dont run in halves- round down in size for best result. Bouldering here- wide range of difficulties, lots of options for everyone, and multiple different little areas of the floor, too. Huge floor space here. Boulders are pretty tall here which adds a layer of difficulty- contrast nj rock gyms shorter, technique heavy bouldering problems. No bouldering cave here. Place gets crowded sometimes, but its a nice crowd - climbers here (and elsewhere) give helpful advice, wont be in your space or touch your things, and are willing to share the wall/take turns. Toproping-some walls have option to use a mechanized auto belay that belay certified climbers can use to climb without another person on the ground. Some toprope problems are in corners, some on walls with interesting shapes, some on flat wall. Theres also lead climbing here, but I dont know much about that, other than that its really cool to watch the pros.

Very good gym with a lot of routes and variety, including bouldering and autobelays. There is also a very smooth system for guests and new climbers to come in and work with staff. Rates are a little steep for drop ins and rentals, but not unreasonable. Note that routes below 5.9 are unrated, which makes it difficult for novice climbers to choose appropriate routes and gauge their progress; and harder climbs arent lettered at all, which creates the same problem for more advanced climbers. Better rating would really make this gym top-notch.

My family totally enjoyed our visit to the Gravity Vault. It was our first time climbing, so we were a bit anxious. The staff member who assisted us, Steve, was so patient with the kids (and adults) and was positive and encouraging during each of our climbs. After my initial climb, any fears for safety were gone. What a great bonding experience our family had as we cheered for each other. We really felt like a team!

As an attendee in a group of seven, including me, it went super smoothly. For approximately two hours, we did an introduction course where we had a variety of climb courses with unlimited climbs. We had Chris and Kyle - Excellent instructors and guides to our experience. I had an awesome time, especially as my first time ever indoor rock climbing. I opted for the more difficult courses, simply follow the striped colors!

Weve been climbing her for a few years now. The staff is great - friendly, encouraging, helpful. They really make it a great experience each week. They change the routes on the wall often enough to keep it challenging. The classes they offer are valuable yet affordable - completely worth the money. The Gravity Vault is a great place to meet up with some friends, get in a good workout and have fun in the process!

I came here for my 11th birthday and I had a great time. Quick hint if your just staying there for like 45 minutes do at least two easy climbs then jump in to the hard ones which take the longest and are the most fun in my opinion. I am looking forward to coming for my 12th birthday soon and enjoying another time there.

Sundays = birthday parties... think like millions of screaming twerps, every weekend. Bouldering Routes were ok at best. Ive done highballs longer than the measly lead walls... Not worth the 18 dollar day pass. Might go if it were free... Honestly not the worst gym Ive ever been too, but goddamn close.

The place is cool and all for first timers, but its not great for serious climbers. The gym grades very easily, and what is generally a 5.9 there is a 5.13 here. If you are an experienced climber looking for a challenge it will be really hard to find one. Bouldering was pretty good though.

A great gym for beginners to get introduced to climbing. Friendly, professional staff makes the first time experience fantastic. For those who already climb, there are plenty of routes and bouldering to whet your whistle and train. Upper Saddler Rivers training area has more options, however.

The atmosphere was easy going and fun. There were people of all skill levels climbing at the same time. The one-hour staff belay was great because it came with rentals and was just long enough for beginners to get the hang of it and want to come back.

I first started going here in October 2016 and am now hooked. I try to go once a week because of how much fun it is! Great staff and facility, the people there make you feel really welcome regardless of your skill level. Wish I could rate higher!

Extremely friendly staff and great facility, price is reasonable and much cheaper than NYC. The indoor tennis court in the same complex is also one of the best in North Jersey.

I recently visited for my nephews 10th birthdays. It was an amazing experience for my entire family. The facility is big and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable.

apparently proficiency in belaying is required to use the Autobelay??? (emphasis on word auto) dont come here unless you intend on spending extra for classes
