Unlike many of the Retro Fitness franchises the owners of this gym are almost always there. Frank not only manages the gym on-site but also works out at this gym. He has first hand experiences when gym equipment needs service and jumps right on it. The place is clean and there is no gym smell. The gym has a diverse clientele from professionals to housewives to ink folks and real gym rats. Everyone respects each others privacy and nobody makes a lot of noise or throws weights around. Staff when not busy cleans the premises. Ive been a member of several different gyms and this one is really good. I do wish I could buy a diet Coke on the way out the door but this is forbidden by corporate policy so I bring my own in a a cooler. I am a little suspicious of vitamin water and muscle milk. If push came to shove I would take Starbucks Coffee.

The owner (Frank) of this franchise has a very bad attitude towards customers and walks around the gym in short shorts and a tank top (Very unprofessional) with a puss on his face, trying to intimidate people when he is just a puffed up skinny dude. He has not learned that the customer is always right, and is a poor representation for Retro Fitness. In my opinion he will not succeed in this location mainly because of his lack of knowledge and piss poor attitude. Also, selling bottles of water for $2.00 + tax... Cmon Frank thats no way to give back to your members, you pay $.30 cents each if that.

On September 6th I will be teaching the Bible I just cant wait to see you guys on September 6th when we open up our new school year next to you and then we can have lunch and smoothies together and celebrate the word of God at lunchtime and dance around when they are new Center opens would have lunch together to say blessing to the world god!!!

The staff is very friendly and the child care is excellent. The equipment is well maintained and the bathrooms are always clean. Convenient location but might be tricky to find the first time. Look for the building with "60" on it. The location is all the way in the back but has ample parking.

Retro in Whippany is a clean and well kept gym at a great price. I especially enjoy the group fitness classes. They have a good variety of classes with awesome instructors- totally worth it! Danielle Rs classes are the best!

I original signed up at the Rockaway Retro as an initial member before they opened. While it was being built, I was going to this Retro in Whippany. Ive enjoyed my time here that Ive kept going as my home gym. Great staff.

Truly the best gym in the area. The owners, trainers and staff truly care about the gym and it shows. The entire gym is spotless, the machines are maintained, and member feedback is taken seriously. So happy I joined.....
