I enjoyed Model A fitness for the past couple years that I have been a member. The gym is extremely clean and the machines are taken care of quickly and properly. Everything is in great shape, and the highlight is the treadmill/elliptical/bike room with the giant projection movie screen. They offer boot camp classes, and are proactive in getting their members in good shape. The dollar water bottles are a great deal, and the protein shakes are fairly priced. The monthly membership fee is very nice over the long run, however I could see initial start up fees dissuading a few potential new members. As I would assume from its great monthly rate, Model A has many members, and at times it can become extremely crowded and difficult to get a workout in. This is not at Model As fault, it just happens to be a very popular and busy gym. The hours themselves are a little short, as they close at 10pm on certain weeknights, and the summer hours were abbreviated, which was inconvenient to my work schedule, and is my primary reason for leaving. My only real complaint would be that the staff, with the exception of a few, is not outwardly friendly. It feels as though sometimes that you are bothering them with just a simple question. Aside from that, if you are comfortable with packed gyms, then Model A is perfect. The facilities are top notch, but the hours and staff are average. I decided to leave for a 24-hour gym only because it suites my schedule more appropriately. Everything else with Model A is fantastic. As for those complaining about Fox News playing consistently, I dont like Fox News myself, but that should not detract you from getting your workout done.

I completely agree with James that Model A Fitness is my last stop in my search for a gym. For years, I have struggled to find a gym where I felt comfortable enough with the environment and staff, to make the transformation that was desperately needed. When I first stepped foot in Model A, I knew this was the right place for me. Clean, a vast variety of cardio equipment, numerous fitness classes, great price (Yes, I did sign up during one of their MANY promos) and a staff that was and is friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable made the decision very easy. Under the direction and guidance of their personal trainers, I have been able to lose over 70lbs. The changes I see in my body are unbelievable and something I have been searching for over 15 years. Day in and day out I see the staff interacting with all clientele, answering any questions they may have as well as being a proactive part in getting everyone in shape. I would NEVER leave this gym. I cannot begin to thank the staff and personal trainers of Model A Fitness for changing/saving my life. I am extremely happy to call Model A Fitness MY GYM and my second HOME.

I am trying to sue this company for misrepresentation on information and client fraud. I have tried to quit this gym 3 times and they continue to bill my family. First they said they couldnt cancel it till I proved that I had moved out of state so we went there with my college transcript from NC and they PROMISED that was the last time theyd bill us or wed hear from them. That was in 2007! In fact I just got a collection call today! STAY AWAY! They have ruined my credit!

This organization is out to fleece you of your money! They bought the membership list of a gym that was shut down in another town. Even though the contract is not with them, they are threatening to not only charge my credit card but also send it to a collection agency. Think twice before signing a contract with these thieves!

Broken equipment, very desperate attempts to grab the latest fitness fads(with subpar instructors), and strangely secretive about their membership contract. (wouldnt let me take a copy to review before I signed it or keep a copy after I signed WTF?)

Friendly, family gym that is always clean. Has everything you need in a gym. Personal trainers know their stuff.
