I love love love this salon. Ive been living in Tenafly for a little over a year, and have been looking for a good salon that I could step into feeling welcome and step out of with a gorgeous head of hair...and still love my haircut weeks after I got it. Salon Rocks definitely got this right. So I made my appointment with Janice. I was a couple minutes late for my appointment but no one cared. The people at the front desk were super sweet and offered me a drink while I checked my coat and shopping bags. After an initial consultation I was whisked away for a shampoo and scalp massage (so relaxing that I kept thinking I’d stay an extra hour for an extended massage). Janice gave me some great advice on what kind of cut would look good with my difficult hair (very long, straight, fine, but also thick). After the cut she asked how I wanted it styled and offered to do it curly. I happily obliged and she worked her magic. I walked out of that salon and felt like I was in a slow-mo shampoo commercial because two people literally turned their heads to look at me as my temporary curls bounced with each step! I am definitely going back to Janice for my next cut or if I need a blow dry for an evening. FYI: Check out the web discount, it’s definitely an added bonus.

Cut my hair with Ingrid. She is very sweet, but be aware that she likes voluminous hairs. Even tough I was very specific about not adding volume to my hair, she did what she wanted and put layers, on top of layers, on top of layers... That seems to be her speciallity...LAYERS! Well, guess what... I look like a which! And I do NOT have curly hair! So now I have a straight which hair, that does not go down even when I use a flat iron! Not really sure how to stile it now... So I guess if I want to wear my hair tied all the time, I am assuming I hated it. Also, on the website says prices range from $45 to $65. Well, I would call and be sure, because that is NOT the case!

This was my first time at Salon Rocks and Carol cut my hair, I love it. I was up for anything, which means I had no idea what I wanted just needed a major change. I love the cut and Carol was great and made sure I knew how to fix it at home, nothing is more disappointing than getting a great cut and then never being able to make it look the way it did when you left the salon. Not this time, Carol took the time to show me how to style it at home. Well worth the drive from Rutherford.

AMAZING salon. The whole staff is very professional and does a great job. Also the atmosphere is very comfortable .. yet very new, hip, and trendy. I have tried a few different stylists and Im never disappointed. There is also a parking garage right in back which makes looking for parking in downtown Englewood a breeze. They switched owners over the past year and she is so sweet. This salon is a MUST try if your looking to switch your stylist.

They do mens hair as well. I got a fantastic cut from Ingrid during my lunch hour. Plus: They have internet so I could check my mail and theres a parking deck right next to Salon which made it easy to get in and out fast. Staff was really friendly too.
