Rising Stars is beginning their 25rd year in business and my daughter is a graduate of this school and attending college on a dance scholarship! The teachers are DEA certified and take classes each summer in NYC to keep current. They have a wonderful reputation and their office manager, Jeanne, is the nicest, most patient woman you will ever meet! There are 2 owners, Joelle, who teaches ballet and jazz and Jody, who teaches tap. If you ask the owners to call you they get right back to you and are always trying to keep their students and parents happy. They have experienced teachers, who are either in college or college graduates. Unlike other schools in the area, they have a Special Stars program for special needs students that is second to none! Their recitals are held at The State Theatre in New Brunswick with professional lighting, backdrops and special effects! My family raves about their recitals every year! This year the studio gave EVERY family who pre-purchased 2 recital tickets, 4 FREE DVDs, one DVD for each of the recitals. I have no idea why NJMom69 would give this school a bad rating, however, I checked NJMom69s other rating and she "hated" the local YMCA camp too. Other Manalapan dancing schools have come and gone, but Rising Stars is a dance studio you can depend on.

My daughter has just started her 7th year with Rising Stars she started when she was 4 in a "baby class" and is now an awesome 10yr old who spends her entire week dancing and has dreams of dancing on the big stage. Everyone who knows her knows that dance is her life, even when she signs her name she follows it with an "I love dance"...just in case someone might forget. This love of dancing was built with the positivity, love, and encouragement she has received from her teachers at RS. Everyone on staff is always kind and respectful to the children showering them with praise and love but at the same time offering constructive criticism when needed to make them better dancers and people. I have been to many competitions and my husband and I are always commenting on how much better our routines are then others..and as far as rectials...they are professional on a big stage the girls have dressing rooms and everyone feels like a star. I know that in 7 yrs I will be one proud mommy when I watch her walk accross the stage to give Jody&joelle a big hug as she graduates. I have reccomended this school in the past and will continue to do so. It is an awesomeplace for your children to learn dance as well as values and positive self esteem.

My daughter has been attending Rising Stars for 10 years and I cannot say how pleased I have been with the care and kindness the staff have shown over those years. The fact that they emphasize the positive of dance has really helped my daughter achieve the level she has. This school is a must for any caring parent with a child who wants to dance.

Recital was amazingly organized and well done at the State Theatre, which was an incredible payoff for all of the hard work.
