Speaking as a parent, if you want to give your child a great head start on discipline, focus and integrity, Inspira is the place to start. Inspira strives for excellence at all levels and as a parent watching my kids progression week-to-week and year-to-year is amazing and fills us with pride. Not only are their lessons carried on during practice and performance but also to other aspects of their young lives. My favorite and proudest moments are at the end of year dance recitals. My expectation of a 4 - 8 year old recital was it would be uncoordinated, interruptions, distractions, teacher on the stage and just chaos (in a good way). However, after experiencing an Inspira recital of 4 – 8 year old my mind was blown away at the production level, set and costume designs and, professionalism of the little ones. They executed flawless multiple dance discipline routines that was on queue and very much entertaining. My kids will always be a part of inspira as long as I am able to. There are too many good things to say in one post such as The Academy, parents night out, parents dance, senior dance and more. The experience is more than a dance/performing arts school but, a family. --JAB--

Our daughter was in the Baby Ballet class this past year and it was the best thing weve ever exposed her to. The class teacher, (and owner, Mrs. Kris), is an absolutely wonderful instructor who has the patience of Job, and a pure heart of gold. Her love for the craft and the little ballerinas is undeniable!. Through Mrs. Kris and InSpira, our daughter is instilled with a sense of self-discipline, confidence, and pragmatic development; in addition to learning the fundamentals of dance. InSpira Performing Arts and Cultural center isnt just a dance and music school or a business; its a beautiful and diverse family and thats what we love about it. The bonds and friendships that are built at InSpira are wonderful and we know, will undoubtedly be everlasting. We are proud to be a part of the InSpira Family. This experience has been unlike any other and we look forward to watching our daughter continue to flourish and grow through the InSpira Experience. L&L Watkins

Six years ago I took a single trial jazz class as a result of viewing a brochure which read "InSpira Dance Theatre...Not your ordinary dance experience! That single jazz class sparked my passion for dance expression. The brochure title was an accurate reflection of the character of this studio. Being a member of this extraordinary studio has demanded artistic technique, academic excellence, mentoring, community service, and faith. These elements allow a holistic expression of all that I am, even beyond the dancer within. Consequently, six years later, I have enjoyed learning ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, African and liturgical dance! Each dance genre has provided a unique oasis from daily stress and routine. The InSpira environment has been a sanctuary of support and encouragement, a place of honest evaluation and high expectations.

InSpira is definitely my home away from home and my 2nd family. I have been part of the InSpira family for 13 years. My journey began as a student, then transitioned to a teachers assistant and became part of the faculty for 7 years. While at InSpira I was able to grow as a dancer and a person, through my many interactions whether as a faculty member, student or conversing with parents. From the moment a family steps foot into the dance school, they will be gaining a new family and have a great experience . Parents look out for one anothers kids and form everlasting bonds. The owners not only do a lot for their students, they are involved in the community as well. The faculty and staff have a great work ethic and believe in InSpiras core values of Inspire, Create, Community, Character,Educate.

Inspira is my second family. I was on faculty for just under ten years and I have to say this is one of the best places to work. The entire school is run with strong family values and a wonderful work ethic. The parents are very involved in a good way and the attitude is very positive. The students all love being there and work very hard. There is a great community feel as well. The owners do a lot for the community and teach the students how important it is to give back. Education is also stressed and there is a homework station for students to complete their work! I cant say enough about Inspira and all that it has done for their students and families. Dance can teach so much and Inspiras owners, faculty, families and students encompass it all!

My Daughter has been a dancer at Inspira for 10yrs. I cant even begin to express how grateful I am that we found our way to Inspira Performing Arts & Cultural Center. Through the years we have become more & more impressed with all aspects of the studio...from the office staff to the dance teachers & director. The professionalism is second to none. I have always received prompt and accurate responses to any questions Ive had along the way. Each year my Family & I are even more impressed with the annual recital. This is not your ordinary Dance recital this more like a Broadway Show! I cant Thank Mrs. Kris & her staff enough. The Vainqueur Family

Inspira is truly inspiring! I have taken classes at the studio since 2005. Audrey Davis’s African dance classes are especially wonderful. The teachers at Inspira are caring, exacting, and supportive, and the administrative staff is always helpful. My six-year-old son has taken ballet and tap classes for two years, and he enjoys it very much. It has helped him with balance, memorization, discipline, and concentration. The owners have created a business that feels like a great big extended family! Ms. Kris Smith and Mr. Leon Smith are model small business owners—they are deeply engaged in the community and they love their work.

I say family because thats exactly what Inspira is all about. My daughter and son how grown so much in music and dance due to the excellent teachers they have had. My husband and I have participated in dance recitals with our children - creating memories that money cannot buy.
