Slow, rude, horrible customer service and business practices! Today, our Ford Fusion was due for its scheduled oil change and tire rotation(... of our mint, fairly new tires), so we took it to the Midas on Olden Ave. in Ewing, NJ to have it done. Should have been easy, right? I wish. Not even 30 seconds after pulling out of the shop, a POP occurs, and just that quickly, the back left tire was flat. It barely made it to the stop light half a block away! Within a minute the car was back at the shop, and not only did they not sympathize with the situation, but seemingly found it humorous. They adamantly refused to acknowledge that the jagged metal now sticking out of the tire may have happened while in their shop! From my standpoint... where ELSE would it have come from?! My tires were back there piled up, Im presuming, while getting rotated... and its a SHOP, Im sure there are metal scraps randomly laying around. Could they honestly say that it DIDNT happen there, with full certainty? Not in my opinion. However, the guy was smug, rude and not even remotely willing to accept any culpability on behalf of the shop or even acknowledge that it occurring IMMEDIATELY upon leaving the shop was far too coincidental to have no correlation whatsoever. I tried reasoning with them, and requested at least some sort of discount on a repair or replacement, but he was unwilling to even consider it. Chalking it up to (verbatim quote) "a coincidence" that was "not his problem" and laughed to the mechanics about the entire thing. So, in addition to the better part of the day being completely consumed with the matter... and after finding another shop and being told that it couldnt be repaired, we had to buy a new tire to replace the one that was perfectly fine before getting our oil changed and tires rotated. Expensive way to learn that a place has horrible business practices. Glad theres now a review online to warn away others. Do not go there!

I wanted to believe this company was amazing! But now I beg to differ, set an appointment for a oil change on my BMW 2008 okay done, near 6 hours later I get my Brake lights that come on my car is now making a funny noise gotta get my brakes done never had any issues and now this...I am going to process a BBB complaint against this fraud of a company they are liars and cruel really wanted to believe their service was great till this experience yeah freaking right! Do Not Go To Them! They will ruin your vehicle. Never again. To think.. and may I add brought it back for them to look at ..kept me there for 3 hours and says yeah we didnt look at your car yet we think it needs brakes yeah you think!!! Taking this to the highest extent that is wrong!!!

Not a good experience. After my visit to Midas, I took my car to another service shop (Mitsubishi) and found that my car needed extensive repairs. As the second shop stated, Midas is a chain and are good for oil changes and things like that but when your car needs deeper work, its best to take it somewhere else more trusted. If you go to the BBB site, that sentiment is shared among many. Ill admit that my car wasnt in perfect shape when I brought it in, but it appears that Midas worsened the problem and the best course of direction the owner gave (after I wrote to Corporate) was to take it somewhere with more knowledge of radiator issues. Oh well, now I know better. Ill never take my new car to any Midas.

My husband & I go into this Midas every 3,000 miles for an oil change and they are always so friendly and professional! Today we had an appointment for our usual oil change and were very surprised to see grease on the dash/seat/visor of our car. We gave them a courtesy call just as a heads up and Joe was extremely helpful. He insisted that we come back so he could make it right! The customer service they provided was very much appreciated! They went above and beyond expectation and are a great example of wonderful customer service. Highly recommended!

I am the former Store Manager of the Midas on olden ave, I must say that the technicians are extremely knowledgeable and reliable. Ask for Joe when you go in. Very friendly and truly concerned about his customers ! Fair prices and honest evaluations done here. Custom exhaust , all major repairs. I couldnt say anything but positive things about the Midas on olden ave even though I am now working elsewhere. Thanks to all of the customers that Ive met and shared stories with over the years ! I live in Nutley nj now and still travel an hour to see this guys in Ewing! Shawn is the best and always gets me in and out and doesnt take advantage of the fact I dont know much about cars. Even when the dealership couldont figure out what was wrong with my car these guys did!

I made a 4pm appointment for an oil change yesterday. I explained I was on a time crunch and they assured me Id be out of there in less then 50minutes. Almost an hour later, my car was untouched. I just wish theyd been honest about being too busy to begin with.

Very nice mechanics. One of them helped me when I had a flat tire on my bike in the flaming hot heat with no charge. Strongly recommend this place to get your car check, they know what they are doing.
