I wanted to so badly like this salon, but every time I gave it another shot, I left feeling disappointed. I had an issue with one of the stylist destroying my color years ago, I left in tears and swore to my husband Id never go back, but once again I found myself making an appointment for the sheer convenience of it being so close to my house. This time I was blown away by the by the lack of professionalism from the women at the front desk. Upon my arrival I stood waiting patiently for someone to greet me or just say hello, may I help you, but they all continued to chit chat and act as if I wasnt there. It wasnt until I said, “excuse me”, did the less than friendly blonde haired woman, probably in her 50’s acknowledge me. On a positive note, the young girl who cut my hair was incredibly sweet, and did a great job. Thank goodness for her. As I was paying I informed the blonde haired woman that the price she had charged was not the same as the price listed on their website, and I had specifically requested a level one stylist when I made the appointment over the phone. It was the reason why I made the appointment on the day I did, it was the only day that worked for me that a level one stylist was available. Much to my surprise, the women seemed annoyed and informed me that the level one stylist they had booked me for had moved up to a level two stylist status since then. Thats great for her, but someone should have contacted me with the change in price beforehand, or she should have charged me the price of the of the service that I was told over the phone when I made the appointment. Completely unprofessional. I would have expected a professional salon such as Jon lori to take responsibility in the event that they tell a client, intentionally or not, incorrect prices of their services. Its a small town, youd think their reputation and integrity would weigh more than making a few extra bucks. It wasnt the added $8 to the cost that was concerning. It was the principal of the matter.

I went in blonde and asked for my hair to be highlighted with stand out blonde, I requested that it be a bleach type blonde so that it really stood out. Instead I came out with golden blonde hair! It was less blonde than before I went in. $300 wasted and on the phone I was told my total would be $185. If my hair was what I had asked for I wouldnt care about the price and gladly would have paid it without thinking twice. Now Im unsatisfied & got ripped off. I called the next day to address my concerns, and they told me I had to come in within 10 days to get it fixed or they couldnt do it for free but I had plans, family coming in for a week that I didnt want to take away from that time with them to go to the salon but I was told that was my only option. I called to cancel the appointment & they attempted to be understanding and did reschedule me for the next week. Today was the day I was supposed to go back and I recieved a call to come in at a later time, but that if I couldnt an assistant could help out because the professional was running behind. No thanks, if one professional destroyed the love of my hair color, Im not trusting an assistant. So thats $300 out the door and now I need to go pay $200 to havr someone else fix what they messed up. Im so upset, this is my hair!!! Not to mention, I work very hard for my money. So disappointed!

Little Late, but Ive always herd that this place was good. I went online seeking for the best colorist in Monmouth County. Sure enough I called and made an appointment, asking if theyd put me with a good colorist which they did! Kaitlan her name is. She will be my hair stylist for as long as I live here, and for as long as she is still there. (which I hope is forever) Kaitlan unlike some other stylist Ive been to is not afraid to tell you what you should, and shouldnt do to your hair. Some stylist just do what you want without telling you the severeness of the problem which could lead to a tragic ending and I respect the honesty. She also processs the color with such care, such as treatments, and color lifting while doing so which I think leads to the best results. I am always satisfied with her work. I recommend her all the time,, some have tried and loved it (obviously)... YOU SHOULD TO !!! shout out to the best colorist in Monmouth county.. I see you <3

I have been going to Jon Lori Salon for about a year now and absolutely love it! I normally get highlights, lowlights, and a cut and have never been as happy with my hair as I am when leaving here. Jamie does my hair and she is absolutely fantastic. Their pricing is average for the area but the results are way above average! Ive referred both my sisters, my mother, and several friends here, and everyone leaves happy. I now live about an hour away but drive down to my parents to get my hair done here because every other place I have gone never gets my color just right like they do here. They also have great deals every month on various treatments and products. The salon is always clean and staff always upbeat. Thank you Jon Lori!

I have been going to the salon for over a year now. Annette has been my stylist the whole time and I consider myself very lucky to have her. From her personality, to her expertise to her way of just always getting things right! I like to change things up with my color and it is like she can read my mind, and there is nothing like her blow outs. I love the salon, I just find that when I go there I always wind up paying a lot more than I thought it would be. Even with just a touch up. I do have a lot of hair so I dont know if that is why, being that she seems to always have to mix more color. With that said I dont ever see me leaving Annette!!

I have been going to Jon Lori Salon for many years. They have, during this time, expanded their facility and added many wonderful options. I am always greeted by a friendly, courteous and professional staff. My mother and myself enjoy the services of Jillian while my daughter goes to Jade. Both girls display great attention to detail and the level to which they execute their craft is the reason we continue to travel to Jon Lori even though my mother lives in Middlesex County, my daughter in Somerset County and I travel from Ocean County. We collectively agree that the Jon Lori Salon is the "Total Salon Experience"

Ive been going to Jon Lori Salon for many years and have never been disappointed. From the minute I walk in the door Im greeted by the front desk staff who, no matter how busy they may be, take the time to say hello and acknowledge me. Jaimie is my stylist and she is always a pleasure to be around. She always is honest and upfront about what would look good and what might not be the right color or cut for me. She listens to her clients and together we come up with a plan. I trust her instincts and have never been disappointed. Its a pleasure to come to the salon!!
