Dont walk, RUN from this place. This venue is absolutely beautiful and when my fiance and I saw it, we fell in love. However, there is quite a price tag - - - non-negotiable price tag that perhaps had something to do with the beautiful tan God blessed me with... Yes, I am a person of color, which COULD have been the reason they nickel and dime the heck out of us and acted like they did not want our business. They wanted to charge $10.95 per chair, which you have to upgrade chairs because the standard ones are very plain. They charge $3.50 per bow, and the chair covers are $7.95 each - - - oh and I cant forget (plus taxes). Keep in mind, they do not allow you to bring in your own chair covers, bows, decor. They were charging us $125 (including taxes/gratuity) per person for a light cocktail reception - - - basically lunch meat on a nice table, 6 butlered hors doeuvres (1 hour only), a pasta station and one carving station... Thats right, $125 per person for a very light cocktail reception. Oh, and I cant forget they also wanted to charge $7.00 per person if you want to use their facility for the nuptials. No other venue tried to charge for the extra room for the wedding if the room was available. Essentially, they charge for EVERYTHING, including silverware opposed to plasticware, cloth napkins opposed to paper napkins, toilet paper opposed to your hand... LOL!!! Just joking, but that is how we felt. This place is a joke compared to every other venue in the tri-state area. We had to hold our laughter in every time we spoke to the catering manager, who had to ask permission for everything. So basically, she is not a decision maker and appeared inexperienced, but a nice person to say the least. Now essentially, we dont have a limit on our budget for this wedding and would have paid any price if we felt they were accommodating us fairly and comparable to other venues of similar quality. The issue I have is not with the prices, it was with the inability to make the event make sense AND treat me like the Harvard educated person that I am. Im not stupid, connect dots quickly and can recognize when someone is running a scam. You cant tell me you will "waive" the $7.00 per person fee to get married, but then add an extra hour of alcohol at $10.00 per person that is not negotiable - - - even though the extra 1-hour of alcohol was not needed, because that hour would be during the wedding. So anything they "give" you, will cost you something in another area of the contract. This place doesnt "give" or "waive" anything - - - period. Ladies and Gents, my advice is for you to ASK as many questions that you can possibly think of and do not assume anything. They will charge you for a tissue if you need to sneeze.. Not joking... Prior to going to look at this venue, I read all of the reviews and they are mixed. Well, I can tell you first hand, it is not worth the money given the multitudinous number of BEAUTIFUL venues in the area that offer 3x what this place offers at a comparable price. Also, this venue lost out on a significant opportunity by treating us so poorly. Our wedding could have generated SIGNIFICANT business for this place, given the amount of events and parties we host every month. Please do your research and shop around before you decide to go with this venue. Its NOT WORTH IT!!!

Well, been to three weddings here total in a total of two years. The place itself is amazing. I can see why so many people choose it for weddings and proms and special occassions. We did not have our reception here, but my wifes sister did. The staff is by far the nicest people and attention to detail is by far amazing. Kudos to you for having a great service! Every time we had cocktail hour in the room to the right. Every wedding had different hot dishes we been too. Some had two but most had one. The people walking around handing out hold and cold ordureves as well, really nice and good food. Flat breads are amazing! The main room is absolutely stunning. It really makes the atmosphere. Food wise, salad was always fresh. Heres the negative. The main course. We have had chicken and steak and every side they offer. From regular plate servings to buffet style. Completely dissapointed every time. Thats really something they gotta change. Really need to bring in a amazing chef who can bring in five star, to die for, food for main courses! This place would be the premier wedding destination if that happens. Cakes were always great and dessert bars amazing too. The lay outs have been amazing! Please carriage house, dont just respond and pass this on! This is an honest review and not looking for anything. The main courses need flavor and come out hot! Not luke warm or bland! Thats your downfall, work on that and you will have a complete venue Thanks

The Carriage House was a brides (and grooms) dream! The staff was everything we could hope for from planning to the day of. They helped us all along the way, even when I had stress dreams about what I could and couldnt have for my favors after I impulse bought them! Carly and Meghan were awesome! Carly even visited during our rehearsal dinner just to make sure everything was going as planned! The company and staff always went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was very special and exactly what we wanted. We truly appreciate their effort and hard work! I recommend The Carriage House 100x over!

What an absolutely perfect venue! This was my wedding ceremony location and I couldnt have asked for anything better. Kristin and Megan were so helpful with planning. I even made last minute requests the day of the ceremony that they accommodated. My attendant (think her name is Ellie?) was beyond amazing, cared for my every need, and even helped calm me down when my makeup artist showed up 45 minutes late. The venue itself is gorgeous and the staff is amazing!

Cheesey wedding factory. "Plantation charm" is a gross way to sell this phony place. Staff is very good. Concept and experience is inauthentic and in my opinion unpleasant.
