Only giving two stars because the guy didnt give me a bad cut this morning. But were that not the case, the one star review would be due to the fact that the miser tried to rip me off and succeeded. I walked in late morning and the guy was the only one there, and I believe I was the first customer of the day. He was shaving in a mirror and didnt utter a word to me when I entered, just a grunt I couldnt make out after the second time (first time, no response) I asked him if they were open. Rude. Anyways, under the guise of bad English skills (he either really spoke next to no English at all, or was a very convincing actor), he charged me the fair price of 15 dollars for a haircut (though maybe a little pricey for that kind of a barbershop) and then when I presented my debit card, he told me in a barely intelligible way that the card machine was not working that day. So, I went next door to the ATM in the corner grocer and took out 20 dollars. I come back, and he takes my 20 dollars and says "thank you" as if I was going to give him a whole five smackeroos. Sorry, bucko, you did a good job, but not THAT good. Give me change! Thatd be spare pocket change there! At first I thought it was a misunderstanding, he thought I was going to just let him waltz away with five dollars, but then I realized, no, just because your English is bad doesnt mean youre stupid. This guy tried to pocket the whole lot. So when I told him I would like change, he then said he has no singles. GIVE ME A BREAK. Obvious ploy. Total ruse. A real ride. Hes lucky I was not absolutely insistent on getting back singles so I could tip him two or three dollars which by this point, he deserved none of it at all. I didnt want to go back to the grocer so they could split my 5 dollar bill, so I just let the crook have it, and I peaced out. I will never come back, and I hope everyone and their mother reads this review. There is no excuse for being a cheat. Beware this scam artist.

This place gets busy very fast and your better off making an appointment, but walk-ins are always there. Sometimes you have to wait a bit and other times, its a pretty fast service. Price is 15.00 bucks and they do a great job! I tip 5 bucks every time because I value their work and effort to make you look great. Most of the guys speak english, but there are a couple that only speak a little bit. If your looking for the barber shop experience at an authentic place, this is it! Its not for everyone and thats fine....super cuts is right up the street and better suited for the clientele that prefer that type of atmosphere.
