Worst ever experience in this shop. I went there, because my nissan dashboard was showing service engine soon indicator. I explained the the problem, also i told that i have to replace radio for my car. The sales person suggested for PM checkup ($23 cost), with this mechanic will list all the issue. After 45 minutes, mechanic told everything is fine except front breaks and back struts/suspensions. I was surprised to see the observations, I asked how that indicator will be off? he said it will go after oil change. I doubt if he cared to open bonnet and see engine etc. The cooling liquid was completely drained, he did not seen sound of engine when it starts etc. All such important observation were missing in his list. Sales person misread the observation report, and prepared invoice to replace front as well as back brakes replaced. I pointed out that only front breaks needs to be replaced, when i talked to mechanic in person. i agreed for Break-replacement, oil change and radio installation (i wanted to install new cd-receiver which i bought myself). It took ages to get this done, they messed up with wrong parts etc. i entered the shop approx 1pm, and until 5:45pm nothing was ready yet. I requested them multiple times to check for radio installation. At 5:45pm radio-installation expert said he needs wire harness and face for it. i provided him harness. It was already 5:45pm, so he said he cannot do this now. I talked to sales guy and store supervisor. Store supervisor is so adamant to take any responsibility. He charged me extra $49.99 for radio installation PLUS i have to pay $20 to mechanic for the face he has used from his locker. I was surprised to see when supervisor asked me to pay him separately. at 6:30 i got key in hand. when i started car, i saw it is still showing service engine soon indicator. When i pointed out to Supervisor, he bluntly blamed me that i have not told in advance. and hence the problem is taken care of. After wasting approximate 6 hours, and spending much money; i took back original problem home. It was not diagnosed nor resolved. Supervisor specifically mentioned, mechanic will see only the things he is supposed to check. I really laughed at this statement. I wonder the mechanic could not see the indicator on the dashboard in front of him? For all faults and mistakes, supervisor did not say a word of sorry. In fact, while leaving I said sorry for all chaotic situation because i was emotionally shocked with such situation. Summary is: pep-boys are money leechers. They charge high but dont get you that quality service. There is no coordination in their work. It is highly miscommunication within themselves.

DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED!!! PLEASE READ TO THE VERY END! I went to the store because I wanted to have them look at my rear brakes and rear shock absorbers. Granted, I went there a few days ago to have them look at the same thing. What the first guy told me, was exactly what I expected, but I decided to go there again because I wanted to take a look at it myself so I could decide which problem I should solve first. I was in a bit of a rush the last time, so I didnt have the chance to take a look at it before. The first thing I noticed that was out of order, was the fact that the representative was trying to charge me for the brake check. I am a Rewards member, it should be free for me. I had them check the car out a few days before today, and he tried to tell me that an email went out to the employees saying that the brake checks werent free to Rewards members anymore as of March 1st. I initially went to the shop on March 22nd, & I wasnt charged a dime. So I asked him about it, and because he probably figured he was caught, he dropped it and didnt make me pay for it. So as time went by, coincidentally, the same mechanic that looked at the car the first time, was the person to look at it this time! But this time, he tried to b.s. me and said that my front struts had to be replaced (and I asked him to look at the REAR struts and brakes, not the ones in the front. It wasnt too long ago since I replaced the brake pads in the front, too. So I already knew that they were good). Heres the thing, I know that they dont need to be replaced right now because I just replaced them three months ago. Struts do not wear out in a span of months. You dont have to be a rocket scientist to know that. I even know what it sounds like when the struts go bad, plus, I know how to test them out. Im not stupid. I dont know if they tried to scam me because I am a woman, or maybe the mechanic thought that I forgot what he said last time, but whatever the case may be, I know that I will not be returning. Please believe the negative reviews, do not waste your time or your money. If you really need to go there, I suggest that you research the parts that your car needs, buy them at the store, and then have someone else install them. They are not worth your time, they are not worth the trouble. *RESPONSE TO OWNER* Dont count on it. I noticed that you left similar responses to other users, this must be automated. With the way I was treated, Im not planning on returning any time soon, therefore, Im not interested in contacting you to work it out. You guys are truly full of bs.

Worst experience ever! Ive been to pep boys to purchase things that I needed like car cleaner, rim shine, tire cleaner and the list goes on. Mind you, I have State Farm and I enjoy having them. They may not be perfect but they work for me. I have an app thats called "ln-Drive" basically is a built in Diagnostic for my car. It tells me everything thats wrong with it. When I went to Pepe boys I wanted to get a diagnostic done(just to see if what my car was saying on my reader was accurate. That cost was $98.00 VERY Expensive but I did it anyway. They told me I needed a tune up, and a 02 sencor low voltage. My reader told me I only needed an 02 sencor but I figured why not get a tune up its probably been awhile. So all that came up to about $595.00 INCLUDING LABOR. So okay, I just got paid today so why not!? I waited they said itll be a 2 hour wait. Thats pretty long but I want my car fixed and it better be fixed and nothing should be shown on my reader. Long story short, I waited for basically the whole day. When he first told me they were working on my car it was sitting right in the parking lot until it was getting ma little dark. So I left and came back and it was still being worked on. Mind you its like 4:30pm now and I brought my car there at 10am. So now Im frustrated.. So, I go up to the mechanic and he looked at me and said "well, your car is going to be shaky but theres nothing wrong you would also have to go to the actual dealer of your car and get it re-programmed because the engine check light is still going to be on." So in my mind Im thinking I paid $600.00 and nothing? My cars shaking now ? The check light is still on? What did I exactly pay for? Did I just pay for my car to get worse? I dont think so.. So I yelled and complained and you want to know what they did ..?? They gave me $55 dollars back oh I was livid. The worst part was checking my accurate diagnostic reader from State Farm and this time I have 3 problems wrong!!!!!! 1. 02 sencor low voltage 2. 02 sencor High voltage 3. Misfire Now how come? Because they dont know what theyre doing. I had the worst experience and hope no one else does. Think before you decide to take it to a place that would careless about your car. I hope this helped.
