Janos, nothing costs $59 for any repair on a car especially when it involved labor Im sure all was a misunderstanding and your wife was protecting you from a heart attack when she had to tell you the real price. FYI I got a light bulb for my car (Kia) and that bulb costs me $45 just for the light. If I didnt install it myself Im sure it would have passed the $59 mark your claiming was promised to fix your car. As for me Ive been going here since I moved to town. I always find the staff friendly, quite honest and always reasonable compared to sts or jiffy lube. Every time they have estimated a price for a repair they have always called me If its going to be surpassed that estimated price and have always called me to inform me if something else is wrong with it. If they cant reach my number they call another number on file. I will always be going here first until I move away from town. Sorry Janos but a $59 car repair regardless of what it is ...seriously maybe in Newark in a back ally after 10pm but not this place. You pay for what you get and what you get is good quality repairs from friendly staff who know what they are doing.

I was very disappointed in their lack of help yesterday. I teach in Hillsborough and had a flat tire. I was waiting for help to arrive to get a donut on so I could drive my car somewhere close since I live 45 minutes away and didnt want to take a chance on 287 and Rt. 78. The manager/owner (Greg, I believe, told me they closed at 5 (which on their web-site states 5:30) but they really close the doors at 4:45. My roadside assistance arrived at 4:41 (after calling at 3:10), so Amwell Auto & Tire was not an option, after being told I had to get there before 4:45. I am a mother of two young children, live 45 minutes away, and was waiting outside for over 2 hours, and teach in this town for 20 years. I am VERY disappointed in the way they handled their business, yet alone their helping someone in need.

This is to respond to Tracy Bakers Review. We are sorry it took 2 hours for your Tow/Road Service, however, the towing company has nothing to do with us. Our hours, Monday through Friday, are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. And, our Manager would have asked you to arrive by 5:15pm not 4:45pm. There is no way we would have closed our doors at 4:45 pm during a weekday. Representing the owner, I can tell you that would have been unheard of, and we would have heard about it from our surrounding neighbors. Now, our hours on Saturdays are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and therefore, our Manager would have asked you to arrive at 4:45pm so they could close at 5:00. There had to have been some sort of communications and misunderstanding.

SHAME ON THIS SHOP!! Greg super-charged me for a simple Starter (he charged me twice the price!!). I could understand a little margin on a product, but 100%???? My wife negotiated the price before hand, and they wisely said 59 dollars. The total cost was 590 dollars. She never heard the words FIVE HUNDRED coming from them. As for the service, they charged me 220 dollar for 2 hours of service without previous agreement. Im not going to argue about the service. Each shop charges what they think they are worth. But 110 dollar an hour, should be well EXPLAINED IN ADVANCE. I would definitely check other shops before agreeing with this price. IM NEVER EVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE!!

Best auto-body shop in Hillsborough, NJ. The staff here is honest and competent and those two things together make them the best choice around. Ive always found their prices to be fair and their work to be done within a reasonable amount of time. Another auto-shop told me I needed new rotors that day or I would risk having a safety issue. I took it to Amwell to confirm and they told me this was a blatant lie. I was able to get all the actual work i needed done and didnt overspend on unnecessary maintenance. That alone motivated me to write a nice review - thanks guys! 5 out of 5 stars.

Got oil change done and had them look over my car that just came out of storage. Great service - honest and professional staff that didnt try to upsell me on things I didnt need. Prices very good also - my oil changes usually cost around $85 and was only $60 (or so) here.

Stay away, they forgot the appointment I made that same morning, and then changed oil and forgot to tighten the oil plug on the bottom. This got oil all over my driveway and I have to fill it back up. Never going back

Please dont believe in their online advertisement, especially for oil change. They will honor that but with conditions, or will tell you please dont come again for just oil change.
