The absolute biggest crooks Ive ever been to ,I went in for a tire leaking air and the very little man behind the counter (he could barely see over it) tried to sell me upper and lower ball joints ,and a new set of tires because he was "afraid to dismount the tire in question because the tires were so dry rotted he was concerned it would not be able to re inflate " the tires in question were 3 yrs old with 30k miles not even close to dry rotting ,also he then said my TPS sensors were bad (they were fine and completely accurate) I asked for my truck back and it came back with all the tires inflated to 50+psi (they call for 35) he had the tech over inflate every single tire to dangerous levels ,the truck doesnt need upper and lower ball joints It was in for service 3 weeks prior to my visit to SBR not to mention. it still has a full factory warranty ,I know quite a bit about cars Im nearly 50yrs old Im not a child and I cant be easily lied to .during the 1hr + I waited for this dwarf to diagnose my car I was in his waiting room and I sat there and listened to his sales pitch to quite a few unsuspecting victims It was truly pathetic he tried to rob each and every single person that walked through the door and unfortunately he was successful more often than not ,A true weasel of a man thank god for him he didnt cost me 1$ that day because that wouldnt have worked out very well for him in the end ,after leaving there I drove to another tire shop the rim was dismounted and the seal had to be reset $21 and 30 mins later I was on my way ,I asked the tech his opinion of my tires in regards to being rotted and he said I see no evidence of rot at all looks like you can easily get another 10-15k miles out of these tires and then I asked to check the ball joints he said everything with the front end was fine,he just mentioned front pads were getting a bit low ,thats it STAY AWAY FROM THIS CON ARTIST

I really use to recommend this place to everyone but after today I dont feel the same way, my husband and I went here today at 2pm to drop of my car for an oil change and the owner said to me that it would be at least an hour and I was perfectly fine with that and told him I will just drop it off and they can call me when it is ready, now it is 5::18 and my husband and I were on our way back from shopping and figured we would stop by just to check if it was done and the man behind the counter said oh sorry we didnt get to it yet so my husband said ok than just call us when its ready and the man said oh no sorry there is still 4 cars ahead of you and we wont get to it tonight but we can reschedule you, so my husband said well why didnt you call us than you tell us this and he just replied sorry sir. This is not how you should conduct business because you should have simply been upfront with us at 2 and told us you were too busy to get our car done instead of lying and telling us that it should be an hour or so. We came back 4 hrs later and was told this it makes us think that what if we never stopped to check would they have just never called us and we would have been without a car because they are closed on sun. I really like this place and now I have to think twice about ever going back here and anyone else should too . Extremely disappointed!!!!!!!

Wow - GREAT SERVICE. An experience that I would rate a 5+++++. I had a nail in my tire which could not be fixed. I needed a new tire. I had just purchased my new car so my tires did not have that many miles on them..bummer. Started contacting local tire companies to see if they had the tire. I was told they did not have it....However, when I contacted SBR they found out that the tire is on Nationwide back order until Jan, 2014. Bernie at SBR was full speed ahead for a day in a half locating me a tire nationwide. I contacted the dealer I purchased the car from and they actually had the only tire in the nation. They proceeded to tell me to stop in and they will fix it. (drive 40 miles on the parkway with a tire donut- not). Their roadside assistance would not get me there as it was not the closest dealer. Could not understand why the dealer would not just send the tire down to a local dealer for his customer....... Called SBR and explained the situation. While dealerships are hard to deal with, Bernie was able to get the tire. Not only did SBR get the tire within 4 hours, it was less expensive then the dealership. It was a very stressful situation and SBR went over the top to solve this problem. No doubt SBR goes above and beyond. I will most certainly return. I am a very happy customer.

What a bad experience at SBR today (4/12/17). Took my rim to them to get a new tire installed yesterday. While waiting, there were 3 separate customers arguing and complaining to the staff. I thought to myself what was going on here, must be the warm April weather? They didn’t have the tire in stock so I left the rim to have it installed today. Since I moved back to Manahawkin I have always used them for tire service on five different cars. I was quote a price (I think his name is Joe or Ron) that was “out the door” (tax, install). I said everything, he punched the calculator and said “yep, everything”. When I came to pick it up today Bernie (the owner) upped the price $20.00. I question as to why and he stated it’s the taxes, shop supplies etc. I said no that gentleman (Joe) gave me a total out the door price that I agreed to yesterday. Joe came over, fumbled his words and finally said no that’s not the price I gave you. DISHONEST!! Would be the best way to describe their business practices. There are many tire dealers in our town, now my money and anyone I tell that will listen will be going elsewhere. Not very smart business Mr. Bernard Rothman. BBB rating of B-, sure to go lower. NOW I KNOW WHY THERE WERE SO MANY UPSET CUSTOMERS THERE THE DAY BEFORE!!!

First time going there based on recommendation from a couple people. Just needed an oil change. The staff were very polite and very welcoming towards me as a customer. I definitely plan on going there again! I read some of the 1-star reviews for this place and everyone should pay them no mind. I recently got a 2003 Acura TL after having a 1998 Mercury Mystique for 7 YEARS! The fact that I made the car last that long (a Ford, no less) means I took care of it. Just because some people dont know how to take care of their car especially when driving it, that doesnt mean they should blame the mechanic for it. But I digress!
