Please read---especially if you are an employee or a parent. I WOULD OBVIOUSLY GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. This ONE lady (the director) is 150% psychotic. I am not a doctor, but all I can say is wow. Everyone else is very nice there. The director ruins the building. Trust me. I feel soooo bad for her employees. First of all, I am completely normal. It is sad that I have to mention that I am normal, but I am not some lunatic. I am laid back and friendly. I applied here, got the background check, fingerprints, etc. ( I have worked in three other child care centers previously in my lifetime, and left them all on a great note, and I have a degree in child development). I got hired here. I was very nice to the parents and respectful to them all, friendly, treated the children wonderfully and very warm, I am a HARD worker, not lazy etc. The director fired me after a couple of weeks. She told me after a few weeks that she didnt have a reason to fire me, she just felt like it because she didnt like me. I was in shock. I walked out like whhhhhat just happened? Then I heard they did this to like 30 girls before me and like 2 after me. A staff member told me when I came back to get my last check. Parents complained all day about the turnover rate here, but they keep firing teacher assistants. Didnt care that there was a lot of gossip between the teachers, (they all hated the director, and somehow I think she wasnt aware that they did), and all of the parents were wondering why the turnover rate was so high. The director never knew this, but I was very close friends with a lot of the parents there, a couple of the parents were my teachers from when I was in high school. They came to me and said they do not like the director but it was the closest center to their home. The director ignores you as an employee. If you say hi to her, she acted like she didnt hear you, even if you are two feet away from her. EVERY SINGLE MORNING. Then I heard that she watches you on camera while you work, from her house. FROM HER HOUSE! VERY strange woman. I swear that this is true. If you dont believe me, enroll your child, or apply for a job, and be ready for what she has in store for you. I forget her name, but she has blonde hair. CRAZY PLACE TO WORK. BIZARRE. I choose to stay anonymous because I am not trying to get back into their drama there, but I want to warn you all who think this is a great center. Please do not blow off this review. Their Facebook page has a good review score, but I think it is because the parents and staff did the reviews. There is no way all of the poor employees gave those ratings.

I LOVE this school for my children. The entire staff is wonderful. The director really cares about the children that attend there. For me security was a big factor, so cameras are a must and since this is a woman owned business, and not a franchise day care center personally, I feel that they just care more about all of the kids there. I did read another comment on here, when I was referring the school to my neighbor from someone that used to work there... and I just have to say......NO ONE by that name ever worked there, I have had three children attend this school for YEARS! I can only assume it is a teacher that I can personally say as a PARENT that her review is a complete lie. In fact, Myself and 3 other parents complained about this teacher....and how RUDE she was, everyday I would come to pick up my daughter she was gossiping about something........The director took our complaints very seriously and acted upon them, if that is even why she fired. So, Kudos to the director for protecting our children and the schools reputation the Parents were and ARE HAPPY! Clearly, the director knows what she is doing by keeping great teachers on board and weeding out the bad one, which any great company does. For the benefit that it was not that teacher that had to make a fake name to write a review.....I still stand by this school 100% the director does not take her business, parents / children needs, safety or happiness lightly! I LOVEEEEEEE that about this school. Like I said, three of my children have been to this school..... 2 of them are in 2nd and 3rd grade now.....and we have one left (no more kids, that door is closed lol ) but if I did have another child.... this would be the only daycare they would be going. The most important thing as a parent is to make sure your children - when you have to work.... is to have them in a daycare that makes them feel like home, and they love being at ... and this is why I reccommend the center.

Discovery Learning Center takes pride and excellence in education to another level. The teachers and staff at Discovery Learning Center foster a love of learning in the children enrolled in their school. They not only prepare the children for elementary school but also offer so much more. I like that they focus on the "whole child", so they are well rounded. I highly recommend Discovery Learning Center!
