The owner Laura Pappas really showed her true colors with me concerning my 5yr old child. To be really blunt, I really would not recommend this place to my enemy at this point. I am very disgusted with this place, when my Daughter started going to E>C>A, The experiences were fantastic, BUT.....as my child began to get older, and as a parent had concerns/issues. And as was originally discussed, Mrs. Pappas said that she had a open door policy. Well, let me tell you something, that policy is short lived. I came to her on a few occasions to discuss issues, and bluntly told that maybe we cannot fulfill your/my childs needs and that we may need to move to another Daycare. Since that statement, it has become apparent that my child has been targeted buy staff and the teachers, almost everyday my daughter had a piece of paper in her cubby stating that my child did this and done that, she being brought to the office for numerous times for frivolous accounts, and began to notice more and more boo-boo grams. The last gram she had was she was brought to the Office and disciplined for not making her bed at nap time, I came to Mrs Pappas about it, and the discussion began good and we completely south. again she stated that she was unable to fulfill my childs needs and that we should make today her last day, it seems that Laura is content when no parent bring up issues, I can understand that you back up and support your staff, but its that parents that is paying to have their child to go there, so she should be a LOT more understanding about the concerns that parents have. During the last discussion, at end she stated that she was tired of me coming to speak with her with the concerns that I was having and said that today was the last day, actually was forcing me to leave and even after I stated that I was going to get my child, she stated that I need to leave or she was going to call the police on me, for someone to own a daycare, and to have such professionalism, is crazy. I feel that My child has been targeted and further more found additional parents with similar complaints. I strongly feel that she has also been discriminated, and abruptly (kicked out) of her school and her education, simply because my daughter was being a five year old. In closing, a complaint has been filed with the Division of Human Services (DHS). I strongly hope the my review was helpful and could prevent you from experiencing the treatment, or the expulsion of your child because Mrs Pappas really does not want to hear your concerns.

I recommend English Creek Academy to everyone! My son who is now 6, attended for almost 2 years during ages 3 and 4. Their programs are spectacular! The early childhood education he received from them has made a huge impact on his education and learning ability now. He was very well prepared to enter kindergarten and more! I am very proud of my decision to take him there. The cost, which some find is very costly, is worth it! You will get it back ten times over when your child continues his education into kindergarten and first grade and can handle everything that is given. The staff is friendly and professional and kids are very diversed. They also offer "after school" programs like Karate, and T-ball and field trips during the summer. My son loved attending this school and still remembers where it is when were nearby! This is the best investment one can make for their childs future!

I like this place but when it come to money, they do not want to refund your money at all. I withdrawal my son from the school without realize I have to turn the withdrawal paper in a week before. However, I did inform the lady over the phone two week before that Im withdrawal my son from the school. They refuse to refund my deposit because inform over the phone is not the same as written paper. I asked to speak with the director or the owner to solve the situation so I have my deposit refund or some type of agreement as my money is tight. Everytime, either the owner or director are not in and they will call me back later. Never heard from them.

My daughter is currently attending English Creek Academy, and I couldnt be happier. The entire staff, from the front office, to the teachers, and even housekeeping are pleasant and knowledgeable. She is happy from drop off to pick up (but never wants to leave!). I get a detailed "Daily Gram" with everything that she has learned, the curriculum for the day, everything she ate, if she napped, and even how her mood was for the day. She has grown leaps and bounds in the short time that she has attended. English Creek Academy is truly the best in the area.
