Maybe we caught them on a bad day or time Date of Service: 6/18/17 Table 352 Check number 529024 Time: around 1 pm It was a beautiful day if you were in the shade, which we managed to find despite the popular area for people and their dogs sitting in chairs like guests at the table. The format seemed to work fine. The dogs were not too annoying to those that didnt have them. It was interesting to me all the petting that went on by the wait staff, then my wondering if they were washing their hands every time the finished a good dog scratch followed by hand licking. We started our order with two ice teas. They were fine. The waiter seemed nice, but that type of situation you could tell they lacked trained on how to be a waiter other than experience dining with their parents (must have been 18 years old). Nice guy though. The family at the table next to us had brought up that their order was taking a very long time to come out. I wondered what they ordered, so I avoided a timely wait. It turned out it was basic eggs etc. Maybe their meal wasnt put in at all. Our order came out pretty quickly. Just a few minutes after the table asking the status of their order. My Italian Sub was nothing to write home about. The chips served with the sub were soggy. My fiances Tablot burger looked pretty plain for a $16.45 item on the menu. The requested water after we finished with our tea took three trips of "oh yeah, water; Ill be right back." Trying to get a salt and pepper shaker for the sweet potato fries that were quite good (but didnt make up for the $16.45 burger). We didnt end up finishing our food, so we requested a to-go box. That seemed to be a bit of a conversation to get one as the waiter was debating on what size to bring out. We didnt care. We were just ready to go by that point. We requested our check at the same time as the boxes. It took once coming out, realizing he forgot the boxes, disappearing for around 5 min, coming with the boxes, realizing he didnt have the check, taking two tables orders, then finally bringing the check. When we finally got the check, I immediately handed him my credit card and held on to the paper receipt. He seemed very perplexed as to why I wanted my receipt. When he said he needed it to ring me up, I said: "I would like it back when you return." Guess what, he didnt do it. He thought I just wanted the credit card receipt. But that doesnt show all the info I wanted to post this review (check number, table number, prices, etc.). So, we waited even longer to get the receipt, and then we went on our way. All in all, it seems like a nice place with good intentions. I was disappointed in my Italian sub considering we were at a Deli. The sandwich served was something that might be on a Dinner menu (meat was cut pretty thick, the roll wasnt as fresh as I would imagine it to be, soggy chips) just to say they had it. The porta potty as the outside dining restroom option was strange. If having that, at least have a hand wash station for patrons to be able to use. I hope to have it in me to go back and try it again sometime, but I would sit inside, and not when its busy.

The service here is terrible. The owners are rude, rude rude! Make sure that you find public parking if you eat in when its busy, because they will try to rush you out if you park in their miniscule parking lot. The food is relatively decent, but nowhere near the quality you would find at a real Jewish delicatessen. My knish was microwaved, so it was gummy and almost inedible. It probably would have been excellent if it had been heated under a broiler, or in a commercial toaster oven. The chicken soup was good, but overpriced like everything else. My corned beef sandwich came with a pinch of stale potato chip particles and a flaccid wedge of pickle that reminded me of something you would find floating on the edge of a swamp.

Walked in, no one greeted or seated us. So we decided to just order from the deli. Overly priced for sub par food. Take our sandwiches to the cashier. Doesnt stop talking to his friend for the entire transaction. Throws back the credit card and receipt. We walk outside and see a sign that advertises a cafe in the back belonging to the same store. Take a seat and during the meal a waiter comes out to us and tells us not to sit there unless we order through the waiting service. Unbelievable, i attempted to use the waiting service INSIDE THE RESTAURANT, how could i possibly thought of using the one outside? Deli and a restaurant and they do neither well.

Absolutely love it!! Offers some of the best deli sandwhiches I have had in years! After a disappointing search throughout Morristown I was finally told about the Morristown Deli & it did not disappoint. I have made several purchases since my first visit in April 2014 and all have been delic! Now my go-to whenever I am in the mood for deli. The cornbeef on rye & the brisket sandwhiches are THE BEST! The customer service has been outstanding. I am treated like a regular & the staff even knows my name! My sandwhiches are typically in the $10 range (give or take) & worth every penny.

I have been there a few times and everytime I go there they have different servers besides this one guy It would be nice to see familiar faces ..what does that say about the people that own it to be going through people like that.. The blonde girl which is the owners daughter is very fake and needs to tone it down also needs to wear something more appropriate. It grosses me and the other people I go with..The food is ok depends on what you get.. The only positive thing I can say is there is a liqiour store acrossed the street your gonna need after you leave

No question this is the best deli for miles around. Some of the negative comments may be a scam by a competitor, because they have no basis in fact. While there is a small private parking lot one can use, a reviewer claims they rush you out if you are there. But there is no way for your server to know where you parked (no parking tickets, you dont get anything validated, you just park). And the owner is a sweetheart of a guy. This isnt gourmet cuisine, but you wouldnt expect that in a deli. Just good deli food in a pleasant surrounding.

We have always enjoyed the food here, but when they recently opened the back patio which allows dogs, it was icing on the cake as we could now have breakfast with our pooch. Brittany is always so pleasant and goes out of her way to make sure we have everything we need... and the food is always so good. This is a wonderful family business, and the owner always makes it a point to say hello to us as well our our dog. This is our new favorite dog-friendly spot in Morristown- five stars from us and five bones from Bailey.
