Marcia Hyland Dance and Arts Center is a dance studio for all generations! I have been with Marcia Hyland since I was 8 years old and am still there, even in my thirties. My sister attended Marcia Hyland and now my children attend here. Marcia Hyland Dance Center is a studio where the instructors truly care about each and every student, not just while in the studio, but with their day to day lives as well. Marcia Hyland brings her skills and experience of being the first female choreographer of the Miss America Pageant to the Marcia Hyland Company each year! It is so inspiring for people of all ages to see the members of the company perform each year. The students really enjoy watching their instructors perform, and its nice to hear the students cheering the instructors on! What I truly love about the Marcia Hyland Center is that while routines are taught, the students never lose their individuality. Because of this a love of dancing truly shines through with the students! This love of dancing is not only seen in the students, but it is embodied by the instructors as well. No matter whether you are 5 or 55, the instructors here will bring out the dancer in you! The instructors go even further and help their students develop many life skills. Students are taught how to overcome challenges, to never give up and help them develop high self esteem! Ms. Gerry personally greets each and every student and parent that walks in the door and she is a confidante for every student in the building! Ms. Linda, who teaches the older and more advanced students, continues to amaze us every year! When students hear that they made it to her class the excitement bubbles over! She pushes her students to be the best that they can be in all aspects of their life! Ms. Linda gives her students the preparation and skills needed to soar! Another aspect of the Marcia Hyland experience is recital time! Recital time is always and exciting and energy filled time! All of the hard work and practice is displayed here! All ages perform and show off the amazing talent held by these dancers! I have experienced recitals with other schools on the east coast and the Marcia Hyland recital is by far the most professional I have experienced. The sets, the lighting, the sound and the crew all make it a true dance experience. There are no limits on ticket purchases and you are allowed to take photos and video during the actual recital. Unlike some studios, parents are able to stay or visit with their children, while backstage. The facility used for the recital is large and accommodates the crowd comfortably! The Marcia Hyland Dance and Arts Center is truly so much more than that! This is a school for generations of families! The minute you walk in, you feel like part of the "family." This dance center is, and has been such a huge part of my family over the years. Im looking forward to many more years with them!

i was very displeased with this dance studio, it is a waste of money energy and time, you only work on one dance from september to june when you can learn the dance in one week, it is defintely not for people who want to pursue a professional career in dance, i switched dance studios 2 years ago and im absolutely in love with where i go, i have improved so much since i left

We have been going here since my oldest daughter was 3 years old (she will be 10 this summer). Warm, friendly staff, very reasonable priced, and the staff genuinely want the girls to learn. Progressive dance techniques where the kids can be placed in a challenging level if desired. overall highly recommend!
