I loved the place! I was the host to a company party on Tues. Dec. 7th and couldnt find a place on Sunday to do all 20 nails and hair. This was the only place on Monday still open and available for me, a new client, later than 6 pm. I drove up at half past 6 and parked and paid a 2-hr parking meter (they dont ticket after a certain time). Across from Stuff Yer Face, I walked up the brick stairs and to my surprize I felt like I was in Spain! Roses outside were still blooming in 25 F weather. Inside it was warm, bright, welcoming and friendly. Was invited in, asked what I wanted done and introduced to Julia, (pronounced in russian YOU-Lya), who took very good care of me with a ped & manicure and eyebrow wax. Tony, the owner, long layered my hair just like from a magazine picture inspiration he later sent to Katya to show me- it turned out exactly right. He washed, cut and blow-dried my hair and gave me tips on how to keep it. I loved the place, and told him so. It was a villa of Spain in NB. He told me it was near completion but he is planning to add $25,000 worth of chandeliers to the two floors... he loves the place too... so much so that he would call the girls every 10 minutes after he left- pleasantly obsessed. Completely worth the money I paid. Come in with the idea of short or long hair and let him do the rest. Youll have to get used to the hair style b/c "you wont leave the same as you walked in", thats his motto. Im very happy with the service, the friendliness and my new look. At my event, I was told countless times how beautiful I look. I will return, no doubts about it.

EXCELLENT hairstylist: confident, knows how to give his client what would flatter him/her, takes his time to do a great job on your hair. Ended up here bec was looking for a walk-in salon w/great reviews. Bachi rose to the top of the heap based on on-line reviews. I only wanted a trim, so I decided, this isnt much of a risk. First impression was the when I made the call. Young woman was warm, accommodating. She requested if possible be there by 8pm. On arriving, the salon is open, clean, airy and has nice ambiance. Noticed the line was LONG, salon chairs were all full too. Theres only ONE stylist, the owner Tony. He has assistants though. Heres whats remarkable: no one was leaving despite the long line (this place does MOSTLY walk-in bec, their logic is, w/parking issues in N.B. they would have all kinds of appt cancellations or client would be late anyway. Makes sense!). The clientele fascinatingly diverse -- preppy young professional, Asian Indian, fr teens to older folks. I waited quite awhile which, even I found surprising, I was totally cool w/bec: 1- couch was super comfy, 2- music was awesome, 3- vibe was totally chill, 4- have my Kindle to read, 5- observed the work being done. Saw a lot of people get great work done on them. Also, noticed these are loyal clients. I finally got my hair trimmed -- lost about 3 inches, max :)). Somehow he knew, tho I didnt say it, I needed all the length cut off. I was slightly hesitant when he said what hes going to do. Being a 91 degree day, he won me over quickly. Very happy I went here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have to admit that many of the things posted on here regarding Bachi, as well as its main stylist, Tony, are true. However, one must take all things on here with a grain of salt, because many of the bad reviews are largely misled. I thoroughly enjoyed my haircut at Bachi, and received MANY compliments on it, which is impressive considering all I got was a short mens business haircut. Tony is very talented. I have never had someone take such a long time to cut my hair, but this isnt a bad thing. The end result is carefully calculated perfection. My only real gripe as a college student was the price - $30 (includes wash, cut and style) for me is a bit on the high side, but this is a case of getting what you pay for. Here are some tips to make sure you are not unpleasantly surprised by your visit to Bachi: 1. Do not go here if you are in a hurry. Tony does not rush to save time because he values the quality of his work. 2. You are welcome to tell Tony exactly what you want, but you should keep in mind that Tony is more like an artist than a "haircutter", and takes creative liberties (which are almost guaranteed to look incredible). Youll probably have the most luck telling him what you certainly DONT want, that way anything he improvises is not something that will leave you upset. 3. If youre of age, have some wine (Tony always very generously offers some) and enjoy the laid back atmosphere of the salon. Thanks Tony, keep up the good work.

I went to Bachi almost a year ago and my hair still looks amazing! I had the same cut for years and I wanted to change things up. After hearing about how great of an artist Toni was, I decided to give Bachi a try. I told Toni that I wanted to donate my hair so he cut off the required amount and then got to work. Toni truly is an artist. Before my hair was even dry I could see the beautiful cut that framed my face perfectly. When you visit Toni you have to put your full trust into him because I guarantee he knows what he is doing and will give you amazing hair. I also wanted to get some highlights. I had dark blonde hair my whole life that I never died before. I just told him that I wanted it to look natural. He knew exactly what shade to use for my skin tone and features and my hair came out looking completely natural and beautiful. The color really fit my skin and the cut really shaped my face. I walked out of Bachi with beautiful hair and feeling more confident than ever. Honestly I could go on forever how amazing my hair came out, but seriously I would never let anyone else touch my hair. I 10000% recommend Toni!

First off, calling the salon: the girl on the phone was sweet and accommodating. Then getting to the salon, it feels like you are at a Mediterranean spa. Beautiful. The girls offer water, fruit, etc. Very nice first impression. Tony is very welcoming, seemingly confident, and his skill matches his confidence. Great cut. Worth the price. I paid half the price before for haircuts but Ill gladly pay more if I can look this good coming out of a salon. Before my hair was blow dried my hair framed my face so nicely. Montana (the colorist) blow dries amazingly, when she was done I felt really pretty lol. And I was so impressed w/ her seeming knowledge of color that I went back two days later to get some blond and red pieces added to my ombre. She did a wonderful job. Seems like Tony only hires the best. Oh and the girl who shampooed my hair, cute as a button and so sweet. Overall a great experience. From the phone call to leaving, everything was top notch... these people know how to keep people coming back. Ill def go again and again :)
