I have twin boys they look nothing alike one of them has straight black hair the other one has thick coarse hair I just moved to New Jersey from New York as a mom with teenage boys it has been hell trying to find a barber who could cut their hair with the modern styles I found it in faith and Laura at the city looks Barbershop unbelievable I cannot tell you how tight the faded were how good the haircuts were how professional they were and for me coming from work trying to find someone who can mow these kids hair down and give them a style so that they dont hate me for the next couple of weeks I had to leave a review they probably thought I was nuts cuz I got a little emotional because I found a place that just can do really good haircuts Im from Manhattan where you got Master Barbers on every block and I have to say that faith and Laura here at City looks are contenders thank you very much for taking care of my twin teenage boys

City Looks Barber Shop definitely holds true to its name, between the urban decor and professional barbers the environment as a whole leaves me feeling like Ive just entered into a high class barber shop in the city. I have been getting my haircut by Freddy for a few years now, he is an extremely talented and professional barber and in all honesty I cant see myself going anywhere else because its hard to find a barber who knows what he or she is doing in a shop that is consistent with its professionalism, so if your looking for an ACTUAL Barber Shop that has REAL barbers, City Looks Barber Shop is definitely where you need to be.

I know this has good reviews, but maybe they changed staff or something. I went to one in newton nj, and they sucked! The guy who cut my hair was drinking a beer(I dont really mind, it is a very relaxed place, but he had to be drunk. He didnt remember half the stuff I wanted to do with my hair, and cut my sideburns with two different styles!!! The other guy who was working there was having a phone conversation and not even looking at his client while he was cutting his hair. I can get if he was making it one length or something, but he was cutting the back of this guys hair to make it shorter.

Where do i begin? I consider my self a connoisseur of fine things, barber shops being one of them. I was blown away with my hair cut from the moment i walked out. I enjoyed the friendly service and charismatic attitudes of the staff. I dont live in the area, but I happened to recognize the name from the other locations while I was meeting a client in the area. The service was the same as the other two shops, and was happy I stopped in. I will always recommend this shop and the City Looks name to everyone!

Incompetent and downright rude. I was told to go elsewhere halfway through. I asked if I should pay for half a haircut and was told, "No, save your money and buy yourself some shampoo." What kind of barber shop stops halfway through and says they cant cut your hair? My hair is just a little thick. If your clippers wont work, I guess you should use the sheers. Zero professionalism. I went somewhere else where they had no issue understanding what haircut I wanted and no issue doing the job.

City Looks in Newton is easily the best shop in Sussex County. When you walk in, a sense of comfort overwhelms you. Then, youre greeted by the amiable staff. Once you sit in one of the chairs, the mastery and skills of your barber truly shine, all while having great conversation. The atmosphere is masculine yet family friendly. Freddy ( I think hes the manager) is my favorite. They seem to be community oriented and I hope it stays that way.

Hands down the best barbershop in sussex county. Ive tried all the "barbershops" around and Ive always left unsatisfied until I finally met a barber who can actually cut hair like a pro in the area. I used to travel about an hour away to get a good haircut until Freddy came along and showed me what a great haircut looked like. I will never go anywhere else. Great atmosphere, great staff.

I was referred to this barber shop from a good friend of mine after trying many different places around the Newton area. I have to say I am very pleased since Ive started coming here many months ago. Every time I go I see Laura, and shes always done a great job and has been extremely kind and accommodating. Id return the favor and reccommend anyone looking for a good haircut.

Took my younger cousin from Sparta to get a haircut for himself and I and what more can I say, I was blown away. Havent gotten a haircut this great in a long time. Freddy was amazing in his work and service. Great to have a new shop in the area that gives you exactly what you want and need. Two thumbs up and I recommend it too all! Laura is the BEST EVER!! Ive been around town and she is by fart the most caring and dependable girl in the world for haircuts!!! She saved me one day while I was getting the haircut from Hell from a Newbie... 1 hour later and 4" shorter, I almost passed out! Laura came in and took over and Saved the day! TG!!!! C U soon for a cut.. :) LUV that GIRL!

Hands down the best place for a haircut. My son loves his cuts from Freddy. Freddy has been cutting his hair for a long time and to have him back in the area is great. Shop is top notch.
