This gym is by far one of the worst. Recently moved to the area and did the tour at WOW. Everything looked pretty good from the weights to the cardio equipment at first glance. I decided to join and did the 24 month option because I figured how bad could this place be for $20 per month. Of course you can never see the intricacies of a gym when you just do a quick walk-through and join. For such a big gym there is always a problem getting on the piece of equipment you want. People at this gym have no etiquette and save machines by leaving towels on them, workout in groups of 3 or 4 people and stay on cardio machines for 45-60 minutes. The cardio equipment itself is just junk and this gym obviously has the mentality that the more equipment the better and is not worried about quality. As someone else posted just about every treadmill has some sort of problem. This is a sorry situation considering the gym probably has around 50 of them. The staff at the gym is never walking around checking equipment and all the meat head trainers hide in their offices so you cannot talk to them. The front desk is run by twit 16 year olds so no use going to them. The net of this gym is you get what you pay for. When you spend $20 a month you will be working out with thugs on junky broken equipment and non-existent management. Do not join this gym unless that is what you are looking for.

Decent value -- thats about it. I signed up for $20 a month last year. It was cheap and close to home. Being there for a year now, Im liking it less and less. After a few months I began to notice that the place is often so busy from 5 to 8pm that its difficult to get to the weights. Also, people are so rude in that they leave the weights on the machines. Im a small person and often cant remove the weights myself. The womens bathroom is usually dirty and smells. I also dislike that the turn over rate for staff is high. The only trainer left from when I first started is Joy - who is wonderful - but the rest, including my trainer are gone. Same with the sales and front desk staff. You begin to get to know the workers there and then they just get fired. There is something wrong with well liked staff getting fired. Now they also have this new boot camp that they are charging for. I also find that the place isnt as clean as it used to be. People are careless and they need to enforce it more that people are to use towels. Im not happy with this gym anymore but for the value, Ill be sticking it out for now. Also, a friend of mine had a really difficult time canceling his membership. They gave him a really hard time. My advice for the staff of wow -- stop firing good people and have people clean up after themselves.

I gave this gym 1 star is because they are extremely dishonest and the people working at the desk are very rude. I printed out a five day free pass, and they toured me around and took me into the office to sign up instead. The only option they told me about was the $30.00 a month deal; I was unaware I could sign up for just $20 a month. They also told me there was no down payment, no yearly contract, and I can cancel any time. Instead of a down payment, they charge you a "yearly fee" of $50 four months into your membership without any warning. I got charged $80 from the gym instead of the usual $30, which over drafted my checking account. When I went down to ask about it and asked to see the contract, the lady at the desk was extremely rude. She lied and said they didnt have any contracts. I went back asking to speak to the manager, who the lady at the desk didnt let me talk to, and they told me I had to submit a ticket online to ask to see the contract. All tickets are supposed to be answered within 72 hours, but they didnt get back to me for a couple weeks. If you have any problems concerning your membership, you cant speak to an actual person, you have to do it online, which is actually very inconvenient. Basically, its a SCAM. Theyre dishonest, rude, and everything is done online.

Ive been a member for 5 years now and see how this gym is always trying to evolve. There are some good things about that and some not so good things. New training section was an asset, I guess, but at the expense of the racquetball court......personally, sadly, I can no longer play racquetball but I was never in there when it wasnt being used. Thats one change among many. Now let me get to my BIGGEST complaint...........when I joined there was an awesome stretch bar .....it had several stations for stretching....well, one day about 2 years ago it was gone...no explanation......so I was forced to use the only other, MUCH SMALLER, although adequate, stretch platform. Ok....! But I go in this week for my workout and ITS Gone! Tell me , how can there be NO stretch station in a gym!!! No explanation, no warning and NO One at the desk has any information.....And I have spoken to several other members....we all agree it is a significant part of our workout!!! Stretch before and after is crucial to avoiding injuries! Well, Im thinking of looking for another gym. I hope MANAGEMENT is reading these!

Machines are good and the club is spacious, but the customer service is awful! No hairdryers or towels. Are you kidding? They dont care at all, they are unhelpful. They only want to sell you a membership and that is all... Didnt provide me with my Amazon Gift Card when I came with 5 days trial even though it was a part of the offer (apply for 5 days trial and get free gift card), told me that I have to apply for a membership in couple days and only in this case they will give me my Gift Card. Applying for membership (very very sorry that I did it now) get a one month certificate for club visiting (as it was written to any person who is/was a member of the club), it was dedicated to Mothers Day, but it wasnt written that it is for mothers.. It was written, that it Available for any person who is not/wasnt a current member. Give it to my husband

I had to have two unexpected surgeries in the months after joining online (hip replacement later in the month and a spinal support plate six months later). I wrote to WOW (no one will talk to you on the phone or in person) explaining the situation but they just wrote back that I couldnt get out of my contract until a year had passed. Then they charged my credit card for a $300 maintenance fee in addition to the $20 monthly fee. And I never was able to use the membership even once !!! Thank goodness my credit card company had more sense and refused to pay their charges month after month (although Ive had to call the credit card company each month to have them put the charges in dispute). WOW is the most underhanded "service" Ive ever experienced or heard about and does not deserve your business.
