Ive lived in Sayreville for about 8 years now and Im originally from Hudson County so Ive always gone to my hairdresser over there to get my hair done but I wanted to find a salon closer to me and I am so happy I went to The Art of Hair! First, as you walk in they offer you something to drink and the front desk receptionist was super sweet. My appointment was at 2:30, I was there a little early so they took me at 1:30. My hairdresser was Shannon and she is a very lovely young lady. I told her my hair was dry and I had split ends from not cutting it in a long time and it was also very long. I showed her a photo of what I wanted done and she did exactly that ! Beautiful Layers and Perfect Length! I will definitely be coming back here and I will be telling my family and friends about this salon. Thank you for amazing service.

AMAZING!!! AS USUAL! Ive decided to write this review today to not only contradict the errors of the person before me, (note: not only their horrible spelling) but I can only imagine their ridiculous ideals on hair styles. Ive been going to the art of hair for about a year now. Joanna does my hair, montly. Cut, color, and blow-out. Always come out shiny, soft and brand new. I have also gone to Joanna for up-dos that always turn out better than I imagined. Extensions, I cant explain the work that has gone into my hair. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS comes out beautifully. She is a wonderful stylist, that sees into my hairs future. Expands and brightens my horizons! Thanks Joanna!

Best salon I have ever been to. I have been a loyal customer for a few years and they never disappoint, instead they never cease to amaze me! Everyone there is so talented, nice, sincere, and they really care deeply about their customers. Its a family run salon, and if you ever have the pleasure of meeting the owners you will know how much they really do care. They are not only wonderful with womens hair but also mens haircuts! My brother travels all the way from New York City every month to have his hair cut by Grace, the owner, as he swears by her and refuses to let anyone else touch his hair. I cannot say enough compliments to The Art of Hair Salon.

I went here because of the reviews. I wanted a cut and ombré and I brought a pic what I wanted. I get scared of people doing my hair. And she just seemed not interested in doing the work. Her name started with a j I not sure she had red black hair. Short and med size. She rushed threw my hair I have a lot of hair and its long . Color wasnt as blonde as I wanted and showed Her in a pic i had. I went home and when I looked in the mirror I had huge dark dye stains on my forehead all the way around about an inch. It was horrible. I had an anniversary dinner with my husband and it was embassing. It didnt come out for like 3 days.

I have to say that this hair salon is one of the best , most relaxing place to get your hair cut and colored. There makeup department is just as wonderful. This place makes you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the door. I have been going for almost 4 years and never walked out unsatisfied with my wonderful lovely friend and hairdresser Kim!!! The owners are such wonderful people and make you feel a part of there family. I would never go to another salon again!!! Thanks for all your hard work ladies , you all rock❣❣❣❣

Devistated!!! I decided to get my hair cut and colred by joanna, very nice girl, but not only did she NOT listen to my requests, and go by the picture i bought in, she completely gave me the worste uneven hair cut ever..she set me back years!!! Ihad to go out and spend 700 on extensions. My hair was so uneven and chopped, i dont know what she was thinking, she tried to cover it u with curls b4 i left. Buy beware!

I went here a couple of months ago and had Chelsea, who, was not only fun to talk to during my visit, but she cut my hair PERFECTLY. I also loved that she did not push any services or try to charge me additional for anything. Im actually going back this afternoon for her to give me a trim. Great salon and worth the prices.

Well I went here cause of good reviews. Boy was that the biggest mistake of my life! Payed $330 the results? Burned fried up, Orange hay like hair! Im going back there tmrw! They better do something about it cause surely they cant give me back my healthy hair!

I had the chance to visit the salon last Saturday and all I can say is WOW. The staff was great, the salon is very clean and gave me a relaxing feeling. I would definitely recommend the salon to anyone looking for a great experience.

Great haircuts, friendly staff (mostly). The blonde receptionist was a little standoffish, also would have preferred if they would have a sign up telling you that tips cannot be put on the credit card and have to be in cash (!?)

Great service. Angela gives the best haircuts she does both me and my fiance and after weeks we both still get compliments on how good it looks. Theyre friendly and take their time to make everything look great.
