Purple Haze

Ive waited to post this hoping my haircut would fall into place after awhile but sadly thats not the case. I explained what I wanted & even tried to show pictures, which the stylist had no interest in looking at, making me feel like I insulted her by wanting to do so. I wished she had truely listened to me because if she had, the hair on the back of my head would not be all cut up, choppy and unruly, and I would have the cut I wanted. Ive spent the last year plus trying to grow it out & now Ill have to spend another year plus doing the same. I get knots in my stomach every time I look at it. Was hoping to have a nice style for my holiday work party but I dont believe Ill be going, when you dont feel good about your hair, you dont feel good about yourself. I have also been here for color. Am impressed with the extra care given, but I had sat for awhile n never once did anyone come by & offer coffee or water so not sure about the pampering people have mentioned. For what you pay here I would expect a little bit more in that respect. ADDENDUM: Thought Id give them a 2nd chance for a haircut, but with another stylist who I saw mentioned in reviews online. Thought that would be safe.when I called to book appt., I asked they schedule a time where shes not double booked (which was one of the issues with my initial visit) plus some extra time for consult, they said no problem. I arrive with time to spare before my appt., wait almost half an hour to be seen. Get to her station, again another one with no interest at looking at pictures to show how I want my hair. We spoke for maybe a few minutes at most, then she looks at her schedule & says "now I dont have time to cut your hair" (I should have taken that as a sign not to continue with the cut) I was taken aback especially with her poor attitude & implying I was late !!! I asked how is it you have no time ? Looked at her schedule again, "Oh I forgot I did her already " WOW it was only 10:30 in the morning. On my way to get washed I was fuming I wished I had walked out at that point. With her bad attitude it made for an uncomfortable time while I was in her chair. NEVER AGAIN AT THIS PLACE !!!!! Again, the money they charge you should be nicer to clients. It may be that I got 2 of the nastiest ones there, but Ill never know. Not ever stepping foot in there again.

I had a party I was going to attend and could not show up looking the way I normally look, so I decided to get spoiled at the David Ezra Salon & Spa. Brittany did the fabulous hair color, I had a very relaxing gel manicure with Stephanie while sipping on a hot chocolate (my nails came out gorgeous!!!), experienced an excellent chair massage while Marisol rinsed & washed my hair, and finally had David cut & style my hair. I have been loosing my hair due to meds Im currently taking and decided to go short with my cut. I told David I wanted something young, fun, funky & easy to style at home and boy did he deliver!!!!! I received so many compliments at the party, it made me feel very special - its been 40+ years since I had a short haircut & now Im wondering why I waited so long!!! Ill be stopping by to see the crew next week & drop off some Holiday Treats to thank them for a truly wonderful & relaxing experience.

I visited FacesPlusSalon not long ago. I have very hard hair to color, as it is thick and actually very coarse. I also have bright red highlights that often turn orange instead of the strawberry blonde I prefer. Daniella Thomas was excellent, she colored my hair and it came out perfect. She even gave me suggestions on how to correct my coarse hair and make it soft and more manageable. I certainly recommend the salon and of course this wonderful hair stylist. She helped me choose the right color that covered the gray and did not turn my hair orange but a true strawberry blonde that I love. I cannot believe that with her expertise I finally have the hair color I want.

I have been going to David for color and cut for 20 years. I have never lived close by but it didnt matter I made the time to get there anyway. When my kids were young I would hire a babysitter so I could get the color and cut that I wanted. Now that they are older I still make the trip from Mahwah. I love the new salon it is beautiful and chic with huge windows and lots of natural light .Nadeem does my blowouts and he is fantastic. Every time Ive tried another Salon I have always realized that you get what you pay for and I am back at David Ezra Salon. Give me another 20 years David!

I am very satisfied with the expertise of Gina who does my LCN nails at David Ezra Salon and Spa. I enjoy coming to this salon because the people are so accommodating and pleasant. Gina is a professional par excellence. She does her job expertly and with tremendous detail. I get so many compliments about how great my nails look and I always mention that I go to David Ezra. It is a tremendous commendation to this salon that they employ such excellent professionals. All I can say is keep up the superior quality of work!!!!

Lovely new location. Have my make up done there for special occasions. Lana is great. Did not enjoy having it done out in public next to the cash register. Felt like I was on display with people staring, interruptiong my session(some people actually practicing yoga moves!) For the top dollar they charge there and vast amount of new space they certainly could find a little privacy for a make up session. When I asked about it I was told by cashier they had no space .

Ive been going to David for 17 years for highlights and cut, which probably says it all. My hair looks good from the time I leave the salon until the next time I go back, even if its been 4 months. I get lots of comments from friends and strangers about how good my hair looks. No matter how busy David is he always takes his time to make sure the cut and color are perfect for me. There are many places closer to me but Id never switch.
