For the most part the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although I have had a number of problems. For starters, I joined up last year right before Sandy hit. With the flooding in the surrounding areas and road closings, the gym was closed for 9 days. Yet I still got charged for a full month membership even though they werent even open for a third of that month. When I joined initially I had signed up for the BeYoga and the 24 hour membership but the one yoga instructor was so so mean that after she yelled at me for drinking water during Hot Yoga I decided to dump the BeYoga portion of my membership as it wasnt conductive to my relaxation at all. Lastly, my final gripe is that, although I love that their cardio equipment has personal viewing screens, half of them dont work or go fuzzy when you start running on the treadmill. Furthermore, they only offer a handful of channels to watch, half of those being news channels and I REFUSE to watch the news. I think its all garbage. Soap operas are less trashy then the news. If Spa23 could change those few things I would sign back up in an instant. They used to be a amazing gym but have really have degraded over the last few years despite the hefty membership fees. I wouldnt mind paying it if they kept up on their equipment and offer large array of tv channels that they used to.

This summer camp is horrible. They keep the kids outside all day at the local lake...even during days/weeks of 90+ temperatures. There is not much overhead for the camp to run their business since the kids are not indoors at the facility, but the rates are highest in the area. . Friday is pizza day which they charge **$8** for each kid to get a slice or 2 of pizza!! Each kid could get a whole 12-16" pizza for that!! You dont have to pay, of course! But the pressure is heavy to buy. Lastly, the camp has 2 field trips per week where they charge money **above** the weekly cost...which is about $20 - $50 more per week. Your child has the choice to stay at the facility, but most of the kids go on the trips. Pressure, again!! So regardless of the rate you are paying per week...expect to pay at least $50 more per WEEK. FYI, my kid went there under the groupon coupon.... I would never bring her back. Please note, I blame the parents, more than the facility, for allowing themselves to get robbed every year. If you doubt my review, please call yourself. **please note, this review was conducted by the voicing of my personal feelings. All information given is a result of my recollection of past events. Anyone interested in checking for accuracy should call the facility to inquire as to any claims made in this review.**

I have mixed feelings. Ive been a member on and off for about 3 years now. The facility has a great layout, is always clean and the staff is friendly. Since its pretty expensive, mostly middle aged adults are members with a mingling of high school students and people in their mid-20s like me. I like that I can go during peak hours after work and it is not crowded inside. They really do a great job of spacing out classes so machines arent being hoarded from 5-8pm. I LOVE the womens weight room, but that equipment NEEDS to be replaced. I also did personal training for a few months. In my opinion it wasnt worth it. Maybe it depends on which trainer you get, but my trainer always cheated me on my time and was pushy to schedule sessions which I didnt like. Otherwise, the workouts were varied and good. If youre on the fence, do it for a month and learn some things, then just do them on your own.

I would like to take this opportunity to compliment your facility and staff. I joined Spa 23 after meeting Ryan this past summer. Everyone on your staff was superb when I joined. Both Ryan and Mike gave us a tour and thorough explanation about your facility. They are always friendly and take the time to explain things. Your front desk staff and your maintenance staff are also always cordial and friendly. I was shocked that your front desk staff call us by name and always ask us about our workouts! I cant tell you how thrilled I am with your instructors. My highest compliments go to Erin who teaches the group active class. She engages everyone, always has a smile on her face, and she makes me believe that I can actually do it! She has a great energy and spirit which comes through in her classes. With her inspiration, I am learning how to lift weights, do step, and actually move again.

Place is clean but the staff is NOT friendly. Kids swim classes are over booked and there is no reasonable privacy for changing or bathing kids. The pool is overly chlorinated to the point that is hard to breath in the pool. Also adult swimming often interferes with kids classes making it uncomfortable for both. Management is lacking customer service skills and the facility needs several renovations. For the amount they charge the facility and the service should be better.

I have been a member at this Club for about six years. I have always received the nicest of treatment. I would recommend highly, their swimming aerobics classes, message treatments, palates classes, and their weights and exercise machines. With your membership, you receive a free session with a personal trainer to set up your program and to teach you how to use the machines. This can be evaluated at any time. There is a friendly and family atmosphere here.

The staff is great, place is clean, mens locker room has been redone nicely with a new sauna and steam room. People actually put their weights away and plates back after using them. Best of all is the class of clientelle, which consists of mostly 40 and above. You dont have to put up with the yo-yos of the millenial generation who have no respect or caring. A good place to get some lunch also as their wraps and sandwiches are pretty good.

This gym is horrible. Trying to be something they arent. The important thing to remember is if you need to get out of your contract beware of the changing rules. They make it up as they go along. The membership staff have no idea what they are doing. After you cancel you may just get a bill months later saying - surprise you owe us more money for your membership. Join at your own risk. You have been warned.

They gave me sufficient information to make a decision about their health club. Their staff is very friendly and professional. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didnt feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all. The club was very easy to locate. I didnt have any trouble finding it at all. They offer great pricing for the value Ive ever seen.

I have been a member of Spa 23 for over 2 years now and have enjoyed every minute of it. The instructors, trainers, front desk & membership staff are very professional and easy to deal with. The classes are amazing and the weight equipment is well maintained. The club is clean and exudes a positive, friendly atmosphere. I look forward to going every single day.
