If you looking for a buzz cut or something of the sort this is your place but, otherwise I advise you go elsewhere. Take into consideration that most of the high end reviews are probably by people who get these buzz cuts or bring their kids here. They are clearly good with a few set of cuts but it seems they can never really give you what you want. Rather than take into consideration what you ask, at least from my experience, it seems like they just go with what they are comfortable with. I do not know how they got 4.7 star I imagine there must be a lot of personal friends in there. Do not get me wrong some of them are good and some of them are bad I think Ive had 1/6 haircuts turn out decent, so its not impossible to get a good cut but its probably unlikely. I will no longer go here kept going back hoping next time would better but it just kept getting worst. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

I hate to leave a bad review after a single experience with a single barber, but I feel its necessary given the current reputation of the establishment. I am no stranger to bad haircuts, and most of the time I give them the benefit of the doubt, but not in this case. Its always a bad sign when you give the barber simple instructions (e.g. X on the sides and an inch of the top) and he seems confused. I was turned around in my chair as if he was done, and he never asked me how I wanted the back shaped or showed me the back after he cut it. Needless to say, he really screwed it up. He shaped the back past the normal hairline, which I understand is done sometimes around the ears, but to do so in the back so dramatically without asking the customer what he wants ,is a rookie move.

Ive been here three times, and if youd like an absolute average haircut, this is the right place. If you want someone to take some time to understand the nuances of your hair, putting in some effort into knowing how you like it styled, this is not the place to go. I may not be the most accurate reviewer here as Im from L.A. where barber shops actually take pride in their craft. However, in my experience at Princeton Barber Shop, Johanna is the exception as she took care and clearly knows how to create a trendy style. Haircuts usually take around ten minutes, which should tell you everything you need to know about this place.

After many years of settling for subpar haircuts at my local Mastercuts or Supercuts (and consistently being dissatisfied with the results) I decided to try out Princeton Barber Shop. The staff there was very friendly, and I was very pleased with the quality of my haircut. Definitely worth spending a few extra dollars to actually be happy with the result. You can also tell that they enjoy their work, which is refreshing for me as a customer. Highly recommended.

Great barber shop. I am tall and have had bad poor cuts on the top of my head because of the height of some of the barbers. It isnt a big deal because I can wait for the barber that knows my style best. We also talk about concerts and such. Its a short walk from my place of business so I could be biased. Im also a procrastinating "wolverine" looking mess when I finally go to them but I never hear a heavy sigh nor eye roll. Great business.

Joe is the barber my boyfriend likes! My boyfriend cut his hair from very long to short. He didnt want something mainstream- Joe listened to his requests and confidently gave us other options. He kept us in the loop of the hair cut process and made us feel comfortable and welcome. We will be going back to Joe every six weeks! Princeton barbershop is worth the 35 minute drive!

Best barbershop in the area. Great to have them back after closing temporarily in order to move to newly renovated space. New shop looks terrific, very classy. Travis and his staff are true professionals who treat the customer with respect. You get a good quality cut no matter which operator cuts your hair. Best prices around, too!

Great place for a guy who doesnt like salons. They have 5-6 chairs and, when I went, they had someone cutting hair for each chair. I got my awesome haircut in 20 minutes... but be ready to bring your Andrew Jacksons because it costs 20 bucks. All in all... mine cost 23.75 (tip, plus parking on the street).

Fantastic barber shop. Has a very classic feel between the wood and leather furniture. No appointment necessary, customers are taken in the order in which they arrive. Ive always left very satisfied with my haircut. The finishing touches are nice, such as the neck shave and oil.

Awesome. Have been coming here since I moved to Princeton in 2007, and they never disappoint. Travis is great and hilarious... I dont know where I will get my haircut when I go off to college this August, but hopefully they can live up to the standards of the Princeton Barber Shop.

i normally get an ok haircut from here, but last time i went they gave me a bald spot and refused to own up to it. they told me to go to a dermatologist to see if i had a skin condition. that turned out to be a waste of money because it was a in a fact the barbers fault.

ive gone plenty of places for a good hair cut and beard trim. Now i only go to the princeton barber shop because i know they are the best but also because my wife wont let me go anywhere else. Joe is that talented. i get a great, stylish, handsome hair cut every time.

Good barber shop. Very polite and welcoming staff. Otherwise, they do nice work and are meticulous, which is hard to come by these days. They only have 3 barbers working and as a result, the wait can get a little long, particularly during the weekends. $20 for a cut.

Good haircut but long wait. I had clear ahead and they said there was no wait, got there 10 minutes later and there were at least 7 people ahead of me with 4 people in chairs (seems like a lot of walk-ins in 10 minutes) , so had to wait about 30-45 minutes

Cut my hair too short and didnt follow my instruction. The barber just went along with what they assumed was best, even after I showed a photo as a template. Im on the fence whether or not Id return. The price is fair.

Ive been getting my haircut here for about a year now and had a few different barbers. Each time the service has been good, price is fair, and usually short wait times (if any). I usually go week nights in the evening

I like it but waiting times on weekends are long. 30-60 mins depending on your luck, around 7-10 ppl in the line, but only 6-7 chairs as its a small shop so people wait standing. Sometimes line even waits outside :)

Horrible barbershop. They cant do any haircuts besides a few generic ones. I have been there many times and every time they have practically ignored my instructions. I have had it. 0/5 never returning.

One of the best barbershops I have ever been to. Incredible cuts, kind barbers, classic atmosphere, and lightning-fast service at reasonable prices. I cannot recommend this place highly enough
