When the man cutting my hair was using a straight edge on my sides and back, he completely sliced up my neck. After he cut me, he tried to cover it up by slathering an excessive amount of alcohol over it. He then untied the sheet from around my neck and pulled the back of my collar up over the gash in an attempt to conceal it. As I was walking out, I felt the sting of the gash and reached back to touch it only to feel that it was still bleeding. Looking in a mirror I saw that back of my collar & undershirt was covered in blood. I marched back up to the man and asked him if he could provide adequate medical aid. The other employees stepped in to assist me, as well as the manager. They apologized, gave me my money back, and also provided me with a free haircut gift certificate. The manager took some time cleaning the blood out of my shirt. The manager then apologized and told me it was the mans first day (the one who cut my hair) and that he should have been supervising him. I agreed. When I went home later, I used another mirror to view the back of my neck and gasped in shock - it was a disaster of ugly scars and scratches throughout my neck. Could I have been the unlucky guy who may have just been this mans first customer? Maybe. Regardless, I would expect a place to adequately train and supervise new employees to a much higher standard. I cant say that I will be coming back here ever again.. so for those of you who rated this place highly, I can drop you off the free haircut gift certificate the next time I am in Ridgewood.

I have to say, this barber shop is decent. Most of the guys that work there are nice, but recently the men cutting my hair have been really harsh. They dont really care. I asked for short on the sides and a trim in the top and they gave me a buzz cut. Probably wont go back again, I dont really like it that much anymore.

Upon entering the sweet smell of maple and pure joy tingles my senses, I knew I was in the right spot. Shaved and chopped by what seemed by the wings of an angel, I couldnt have been more satisfied. If you are a human who grows hair in applicable barber shop locations, you owe your folicale the shot at pure bliss

Maple Barber Shop is my new favorite place to get cut! Mr. Abraham is a great barber from hair to beards. Everyone in the shop is extremely friendly and makes customers feel welcome. I used to go right down the street but after one cut here you wont be going back to your old shop.

The BEST. I lived in the Ridgewood area for 40 years and have been going here for 23 years. Back when JOE cut my hair! I live in CLINTON now and I STILL get my hair cut here! YES they are that good! It is way to hard to find a good barber. This place IS worth the trip.

These guys charged the same price for an adult haircut for my 3 year old. I wouldnt have even minded much if the haircut was spectacular. It was mediocre at best. Atmosphere is dry and uninviting leaving me zero reason to return or recommend.

BEST BARBER SHOP AROUND!!!!!! I have been getting my haircuts here for many years. All the barbers are very professional and great at what they do. Great prices, great service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Long time customer. Unfortunately, a few guy are not sharp and a # 3 could be a # 2 with a different barber. Place is awesome, clean, modern, parking is tricky. Price is market rate.

They work Sundays, but very very busy, and not very accommodating, so you either wait for a very long time or lose your turn by stepping out.
