Ideal Barber Shop, Suffern, is the best barber shop I have ever visited. They take their time and deliver perfect haircuts every time for $12 -- a bargain. The barbers have decades of experiece and deliver consistently excellent results and are friendly and interested in every customer. I now travel from White Plains for my haircuts. They are the best. I always felt uncomfortable getting a haircut at small barbershops like this one. I was always worried how the haircut would come out. Now that I found this barber shop I would not go anywhere else for a cut. Very nice staff, cheap and quality haircuts. I recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a friendly staff and a pleasant haircut experience.

Old-style barbershop with charming staff and very nice styles and cuts. The staff truly cares about the quality of the haircut theyre giving, and you can tell while they work that they treat their craft with respect. The shop is small and in busy hours it can get slightly crowded, but the atmosphere is pleasant and the quality is worth the wait.

Holy cow! Best haircut I have ever had. Only been here once, but from my only visit, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Very thorough, they take their time. Only $12 haircut too, but I tipped the guy $5 because it was so good. If you live in or around the Suffern area, definitely stop over at Ideal, it is the best.

Good barbers. They take care of your hair carefully, and pay attention to every small details. This is a old fashion barber. They do not accept credit. They do not have any promotion. I do not go to salon again after using their services. BTW, they close on Wednesday and Sunday.

Dont go here unless youre letting the girl cut your hair the owner will give you a terrible haircut. If you want someone to not listen to what you want and cut your hair however they feel than go here never spending my money here again

Worst Haircut of my Life! Barber was like a maniac with scissors. Wont be going back. Hard to believe people say this is the best place theyve ever been. Maybe in comparison to a weed-eater?

This is an old fashioned barber shop that gives very precise yet quick haircuts. They even use warm foam, and will trim your eye brows and inside your ears if you want.

I love this place. It is the only barber shop I ever go to. These guys take extreme care in cutting hair. They work more than everyone else, yet dont charge much.
