I visited Nunzios two days ago and was extremely disappointed. This was a place that I frequented in the past. Alot of changes have occurred and they have lost their family atmosphere. I totally believe in progression and change but here it did not work. The prices are unbelievable. I purchased two cheese steak sandwiches, the same that I use to get in the past and the prices have more than doubled. I paid $34 for two Cheese steak sandwiches. I was shocked and asked the lady behind the counter why.. they could not explain why. As a matter of fact everyone behind the counter agreed with me that the prices were truly far fetched. I could not figure out why. We are still the same location, still the same ingredients, and I was charged a ridiculous amount. I really wanted to leave the product in the counter and walk out. I should have. This truly truly saddens me as I use to think differently of this place. Not good business.

Their gourmet pizzas are the draw here. I got the Caprese Pizza which had breaded chicken and bruschetta on it - one of the tamer offerings. As you can see by my pictures, it was absolutely huge, which usually isnt a bad thing, but I found myself just wishing there were a little less toppings so I could enjoy the pizza for being pizza. This was the first time I ate pizza with a fork and knife, and it took me about 3 days to finish it all. We also got calamari, which was tasty. The service and the gentleman who I assumed to be the owner were friendly and attentive, and the space is pretty cool. I would definitely go back to try some other types of pizza as Im sure there are some that they knock out of the park, but keep in mind, at least with the Caprese, youre ordering more of the toppings than you are of the pizza - sometimes to an extent that you cant even really tell that it is pizza.

So.. I just finished eating at nunzios. I had the gnocchi sorrentina. Heres the reason for the 1 star... My entire table of five had gnocchi. We asked before we ordered if the gnocchi was made in house. They said yes, theyre homemade. It wasnt and the price of frozen gnocchi isnt worth the $18. Im annoyed because I actually cook in a restaurant that makes homemade pasta and needless to say you dont have to be a cook to recognize frozen pasta. Had they not lied I would have maybe given 3 stars. My other problem was the places style... Why the cool decor with cheap utensils? Metal water glasses? Chairs that look like they came out of a Perkins? I was excited to eat there but unfortunately they place does not live up to the website or price paid. You can easily get the same service and/or quality of food at any local nj pizza spot.

I took my 2 daughters to eat at Nunzios Kitchen Saturday evening. My one daughter ordered the Margarita Pizza. It was avg, at best. The pizza was a bit greasy, the sauce wasnt anything other than plain. We left over half of it there. The other the daughter ordered the PAISANO entree, chicken with shrimp & mushrooms in a marsala cream sauce. The chicken was burnt, the sauce was plain, but she liked the mushrooms. She left half of it there too. I had the Insalata, I enjoyed that very much. Frankly, I dont see what all the fuss is about the place. If you eat good Italian food, this place seemed tasteless...

Walked in after a woman who was in the bus with us told us about it, and at first we were afraid since we had our luggage from JFK but we managed to find a spot & immediately our host Katherine offered to charge my dead phone, latter on she also went out of her way and used her uber app to order a ride to our hotel, since she said it would be cheaper and safer than a taxi, she kept us informed, and was just a friendly helpful girl, nice to find caring persons after being in New York city all day, being our first night here, Im from a small town in Napa valley.

Love this place. Im becoming a regular here, going atleast once every week or so. The pizza is great, but it still dosnt compare to new York pizza, and nothing ever will, ITS NOT POSSIBLE. So if your going to go here dont start crying because you new York pizza is better, its the new York water!! Overall this place is delicious, and good for your money (the "personal" pizza could easily feed 2 very hungry people). The pizza selection is crazy and enormous, and the staff remains the friendliest in new Jersey. A must go.

bought a margerita pizza. The ingredients are fresh according to the restaurant But my pizza was flavorless,it smelled better than it tasted. Now, the pizza was not bad. It was Not Good nor memorable. My first taste reaction brought the idea of flavorless cardboard. The pizza sauce, down to the overall flavor was extremely lacking. They do have memorable canolis. Ill never return for the pizza, ive been burnt enough times to understand that Nunzios recipe is Not for me.

TERRIFIC BUT>>>>>>>>> In todays world, a credit card is a mainstay so when Nunzios told me they would be charging 3% to my bill because I was paying with a credit it, I was a bit turned off. If you cant foot the service bill for your patrons, than dont offer the service. Either pay the 3% for you patrons, or post that you are a CASH ONLY operation. I get youre your a mom and pop... CASH ONLY is more reputable to me than charging your guests the service rate.

My friend told me not to bring any more desserts for our annual Christmas get together. Well, am I glad I went against that! Nunzios nutella dessert pizza was an incredible hit! It was the perfect amount of sweetness and flavors without it being too overpowering. Because I had to buy it an hour ahead of time, I recommend popping a slice in the microwave for about ten seconds to warm it up and make the nutella a little extra melty. Outstanding!

There were about 30 of us there for a birthday party recently. I had never been there before. Even though its about 40 minutes away I would make a point to go back! The service was fantastic. Our servers were SO nice. And the food was phenomenal. I am eating my leftovers right now! As is Italian tradition, the plates were absolutely huge. And now that Im reading about the pizza, Im definitely going to have to go back to try it!

Ive only gotten take out from this family-owned Italian restaurant... but OMG their pastas are incredible (mind you, I live 25 min away too)! I always rave about their penne vodka and chicken marsala. Entrees also come with salad and bread. Cant wait to dine in person one day! Their service is always on point and super friendly. :) You can tell the locals come here quite often!

Have been to this location many times over the last 20 years. The sons operate the place now and have a huge selection of gourmet pies. It is almost overwhelming how many varieties there are however I am yet to run into one I didnt like. Staff is super friendly and courteous. Call ahead during lunch hours, this place has the tendency to be super busy (but worth it)
