..Been going here for over 35 years. Attended from weddings,receptions, parties large/small, funeral repasses, dinner to just drinks. The cuisine is Italian/american. It is DELICIOUS, prepared by the hands of experienced chefs. (theres LOVE in the pot). The server staff is experienced, courteous, and always available.(some have worked there for years). The ambience is formal/traditional/elegant with a flare of community/neighborhood. My Fav is the "Dining Room" Moderate sized, formal decor tablecloths,cloth napkins,center pieces,comfortable chairs,quiet,streeming music, and a little sunken bar tucked in the corner. (great for dinner date). The LaBanca Family makes you feel like "family", implementing hands on management. Upon arrival its not unusual to hear Bobby Labancas voice (wafting through the entrance area) "Hi, How you doin?, Hows the family? He may not remember your name, but he remembers your face, and he seems to "always be there." If its your first time, youll be back. Plenty of on site parking. View the website, plenty of pictures,youll see everything I told you is true. Maybe Ill see you there, Ill be going another 35 years. P.S.$$ Prices are moderate. (You thought I forgot) Much Love. Bobby La Blanca of The Appian Way is a phenomenal human being! Bobby will make your wedding experience delightful, happy and memorable. Imagine hearing your expensive wedding cake from another location got damaged in delivery? What would you do? Bobby did not hesitate. He fixed the cake by asking me to sacrifice one of my bouquets. The cake looked perfect. Bobby knows how to treat you like royalty. He paid attention to how we were feeling and ensured we were always smiling. Words cannot express our gratitude. Horrible food. Went there for a wedding and the only thing that was delicious was the bread, if you like bread, this is your go to spot. Main entree was a choice of a tilapia or chicken, appetizers was salad and pasta. I only ate it because I was hungry, usually food tastes better when youre hungry but in this case it didnt.

I usually go for a specific event and so far have enjoyed my time there. While not super spacious its always comfortable and the staff is generally welcoming and friendly. The food has always been well prepared and served in a timely manner. Overall Id say you will have a good time in a nice tucked away corner of Orange NJ

Reality excellent Italian food tucked away in the border of the Oranges. I always get the Rapini if offered as a special, but all pastas and mains are nicely prepared. As a restaurant the decor may be a little dated, but the halls are beautiful. Bobby is always so nice and makes you feel like family.

My family and I went for dinner at the Appian Way to celebrate long overdue birthday dinner. We loved the hot & cold antipasto. All of our dinners were excellent. Our waitress, as always, was great. Bobby always makes his guests feel special. Loved it!

Excellent experience! My sister had her wedding there on 2/11/17 and we were treated so well. The staff did an excellent job at making is feel like we were home. The food was amazing, we truly enjoyed ourselves!!
