In the summer of 2009 we were trying to decide what daycare would be best for our son Gabriel. Gabriel has severe food allergies. Gabriel is severely allergic to eggs, peanuts, milk, wheat, pork, beef, sesame and pineapple. After researching over 14 daycares around our area we were still very skeptical to send our son anywhere. My boss who lived in Williamstown told me about Building Blocks. We added Building Blocks to our tour schedule and once we toured their facility it was pretty evident that they were the right choice. Gabriel was 15 months when he started at Building Blocks and stayed there until he finished Kindergarten. From the administration staff all the way down to the teachers, this school was a blessing for Gabriel and our family. Every teacher he had was trained in using an Epi pen and they were very vigilant with his allergies. At first it was tough trusting anyone with our baby but sending our son to Building Blocks was the best decision we made. Our son doesn’t just get a rash or a runny nose from his food allergies. He has an Anaphylaxis reaction to his allergens and could die if not treated properly. Building Blocks knew the severity and alerted us to any issues or concerns. For example teachers would call/email us when Gabe would have a minor hive and would also call/email us regarding food or treat for parties/events. There was always a line of communication between us and the Building Block’s staff and they made us feel safe. Most importantly Gabriel felt accepted and never out-casted because of his food allergies. We can’t tell you how happy we were to have our son attend Building Blocks and what it meant to us. When parents are looking for a daycare/pre-K/kindergarten we mention Building Blocks. Gabriel is now in 2nd grade and still goes to Building Blocks in the summer as part of their summer camp. I wish I could give this place -5 stars. If your child acts like a normal child and is active and energetic they will not want your child in their program. Doing things like running up the slides and breaking crayons when coloring were deemed horribly unacceptable and "will not be tolerated" by this place. In addition, they are discriminatory and will not accept anyone with an ADA disability which is ILLEGAL! By law all childcare facilities have to provide within reasonable expectation, child care to all children regardless of disability and provide reasonable accommodation if necessary according to the ADA. If i had the time and money I would take them to court in a heartbeat! The director told me that if I had told her that my son had a disability (referenced under the ADA), she would have told me that this isnt the program for him!!! (By the way, i told her on his first day, she meant prior to enrollment!) I told them that I pay for them to care for my child and that care should be fair and I felt that he was being singled out and they told me that their camp program is not to provide care its to provide supervision!! (What!?!?!?) If supervision was what I was looking for then I would have paid some 15 year old to watch my 6 year old son. Please take my warning!!! The camp program is affordable but if your child is not a perfect zombie then they will push him/her out of the program! Completely discriminatory, unprofessional and they defend their employees like no other, and leave no regard for the well being of the child! Good Luck on your search for child care and I pray for the safety of your children that you DO NOT enroll them in this center!

Building Blocks and the staff are beyond the 5 star review. I have had two children go through and graduate from the preschool program there and one child that cant wait to start in September. To say that they prepare your child for kindergarten and more is an understatement. When my son went and tested this past school year for kindergarten they asked me where he went to preschool because of how prepared he was. The owner, Kathy, is absolutely awesome to work with and her staff of teachers are amazing. They provide a fun environment for the kids but they also teach! I interviewed 5 places in all and believe me, this is where you want to be!! As a mom of three, I read lots of reviews on everything!!! I hope this helps at least one person make a decision for your child!! You will love it as much as our family does!!

We couldnt be happier with our experience at Building Blocks! Our daughter attended for 4 years and loved every second of it. Since she has "graduated," I have actually seen her cry on multiple occasions when slow songs come on the radio because it makes her miss her friends and teachers there. The facility is beautiful and spotless and the staff is beyond caring and dedicated. The owner couldnt be any greater with all of her expertise and compassion. We live in Washington Township and the location of Building Blocks has been so convenient! My daughter is very prepared to start Kindergarten today thanks to Building Blocks...and I say this as her mother and as a teacher. To say that we were pleased with our experience would be an understatement. I will be forever grateful to Building Blocks Learning Center.

My son has attended the daycare, preschool, and now pre-k programs at Building Blocks. I chose this school mainly because of the flexibility with my unusual work schedule. No other school in the area could accommodate my schedule, but Building Blocks was able to with no problem at all. Besides their flexibility, the staff is great, very friendly. The teachers are very willing and available to talk with any parent who has questions or concerns. The facility is spotless with a great playground and the bonus of a large indoor playroom for those days when there is inclement weather. And the fee is very reasonable in comparison with other area schools. Im very pleased with Building Blocks and my son continues to have a wonderful experience there.

Our family has been going to Building Blocks for the past ten years and when my daughter moves on to elementary school in September we will be so sad to no longer be a part of that family. Its a really great place for children. My kids have learned so much and had so many great memories. All of the staff are wonderful, many have been there for a long time and our kids had the same teachers pretty often so you really get to know them. Were just so sad that this part our lives is coming to an end. Well miss you guys, thank you!

My son graduated from pre-k at Building Blocks two years ago and cant wait to go back to the summer camp every year. While we miss Building Blocks, we were pleasantly surprised at how far ahead he was when he started kindergarten. The staff are friendly and patient, which was not present in the original childcare we used. I cannot say enough positive things about Building Blocks!
