Management changes like underwear and billing practices are shady! I am not happy at all with Crunch , I find the staff rude and the management very unprofessional. I have been billed without permission several times and when I call to speak to a manager one is never available and they never call back. I have been waiting two weeks for manager to call me back. I called again today as usual no manager available. They do not email you a courtesy reminder about yearly fees. I am canceling our membership they just lost three.. this is new in addition to previous : I have been a member since they first opened and this gym is truly horrible as far as billing and staff issues go.We cancelled our account with a young man over the phone and left a message for Charmain whom never called me back this was in May of 2016. Low and behold I got collection letters for not only me and my husband but my 14 year old son two days ago!!! 14 he was not even old enough to sign up the requirement is 16 yet you send a child to collections trying to ruin his future credit. The account has now been removed because he is a CHILD and NEVER signed anything.. But they will not delete the balances on my husband and I because their BS contract says you have to cancel a certain way and because the children they have working there dont know the rules, I as the consumer is at fault which is horrible. The kids that work there are rude untrained and not capable of handling adult situations and are always left unattended. There is never a manger on the premises, They truly suck as a whole I would never recommend them to anyone. I had to cancel my credit card and block them from my checking because they will just bill and bill and bill....

Ive been coming to this gym since it first opened about 4 years ago. I used to defend it - through all stages of management, the questionable hygiene upkeep throughout the facility, & faulty equipment that seems to always be broken and out of order - all because Ive always felt like a valued member. However, as of lately Ive found the behavior of the management & staff appalling and very unprofessional. The practices management has deemed fit for how & why they release employees and the tyrannical need to make sure all sweatshirts & water bottles are off the floor when members are in between sets has gone way too far and most situations taken way out of context. This gym is no longer enjoyable to workout in. Nor is it as fun (from the loss of several long-time employees) or relaxing (from the constant hovering of management). The employees used to interact with members and make our workouts enjoyable and became our friends and used to encourage the gym feel like your second home. Since the new management has taken over, I have yet to feel that same comfortable vibe. I have sought out several other gym memberships throughout Morris County - and I find it ironic I see more crunch employees working out at these establishments than their own. Id advise extreme caution before pursuing any type of membership - or employment - from this crunch location.

It is often very crowded and difficult to find an open machine, or bench, but thats not the worst part. When I switched to another gym I went in to cancel the membership. They billed me for the next two months. I called to complain, and the person that answered accused me of lying, and said that there was no proof that I cancelled. Well I came in and filled out paperwork, so they lost it. Well that wasnt good enough. The owner also told me that I couldnt prove that I came in to cancel it, so there was nothing that she could do. I went BACK in, for a second time, and filled out the paperwork to cancel. By this time I have been charged 3 additional months PLUS an annual renewal fee. They refuse to credit any of it back. I can only hope that this time my paperwork isnt "misplaced" (yeah right!). This gyms business plan is to get as many people to sign up as possible, and hope that they never show up, and never cancel because its so cheap. In the case that they do cancel, they squeeze extra money out of you by "losing" your paperwork. Its a scam and the "cheap gym" isnt so cheap when they refuse to stop charging you. Ive spoken to other people that have had the exact same experience. Do yourself a favor and NEVER sign up here. There are plenty of other good gyms in the area, RDA fitness, North Jersey Health and Fitness, etc.

This place is an absolute joke. I joined and moved out of the area. I had gone in to cancel in September when I moved. I was then called in February and told I owed back gym fees totally $120 dollars. When I told them I cancelled it I was told I needed to bring in the paperwork. When I could not find the paperwork (lost in our move) I was told I needed to pay the $120 because they had no proof I cancelled. I was also told this would ruin my credit. I then sent in a letter and thought it was cancelled. Got a notice today that I owe them another $25. I called and told them no way I cancelled this membership twice and that this needs to be credited and to stop charging me. They asked me again to please send another letter but pay for it to be certified. NO WAY. I JUST SPENT $140 ON THIS. I asked if I would be refunded and was very rudely told no. STAY AWAY. Also to their employee Sara, you were completely unprofessional and should never be employed in customer service positions. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

The gym is clean I will give them that much. If your looking to sweat and have a hard time breathing this is your place. For some reason they do not like to turn the air on, so the air quality is very poor and that is one of the biggest issues that I hear while working out. Equipment is not in the greatest shape and there are a lot of machines out of order and it usually takes a month to get them fixed. I workout with the trainers and they are great!, they want to do and change things to make it more interesting and bring more clients in, but the owners and manager seems to hold them back. The people that work out are friendly and thats why I keep going, but all in all. The owners need to pay more attention to what is going on at this gym and train there employees and managers. AND PUT THE AIR ON!!!!

Eric, if you filled out paperwork, you will learn that getting a copy is always your responsibility. Im sure no one would have accused you of lying, had you had said paperwork. I love this gym. I switched from Golds because it was more than twice the price, and required a long commitment. I live in Flanders, and can only think of one other Gym in Succasunna that would compare to this one. Its a large size, the set up is pretty comprehensive and so are the classes. The Yoga classes are great, and so are the machines. This is the best value I have found in the area, and the staff are pretty friendly. The place is always clean, and the staff are pretty positive. I will probably stay at this gym until I move somewhere else.
