My husband and I decided to eat here today Sunday, May 15, 2011. Upon signing in we asked the hostess for a boot, when she called us she had forgotten we had asked for a boot and had us wait once more. After we waited a little longer she called us again to find out again that she had not gotten us a boot, she then became rude and said that we never requested a boot, unbelievable behavior. Why then did she had us wait for the second time?, she finally got us the boot and we were seated. I ordered a chicken salad, after a few bites I asked my husband to try it, when he was about to take some salad he realizes that there was a ROACH in my plate. I ran to the ladies room and disposed of my food, when I returned to the table the Managers apology goes like this " I apologize for this, we try for this not to happen, the meal is on us, would you like some dessert". WOW, is what I have to say, we said no and left the restaurant, in my own opinion he should have stated that this never happened before, express how embarrassed he was and after giving us the meal on the house offer a certificate of return to any cheesecake factory restaurant as a sign of this never happens and we value your business. I will never return to Waynes Cheesecake factory and I will tell everyone how disgusting this restaurant is.

Im a little late because I went here almost exactly a year ago. But it was perfect for ME. The people I was with had a few complaints about their food (they should have ordered something else then because not everything is going to taste phenomenal) but mine was great! I ordered the veggie melt and the spinach cheese deep as an appetizer. We werent even done with the appetizer when our food came. Food was great, wait time was normal, maybe a little quick? Service? It was whatever. Theyre not super bubbly and crap (I think i got a hint of attitude) but that doesnt really matter as long as you get your food how you want it. We went on a Wednesday night and got seated as soon as we walked in. Can I just say we got the best spot in the whole restaurant, our luck. I got a dessert, which was the red velvet cheesecake, to-go. That was also really good. So overall, it was really good, I cant judge the bathroom since I didnt go. I loved the dimness. Some people were dressed up, some literally came from a baseball practice and showed up in uniform. The only "negative" thing if I should say any at all would be the staffs attitude or lack of enthusiasm. Ill take a star off for that. This was a year ago (april 2016), keep in mind, so idk how it is now.

I dont get why this restaurant is always packed. Last week, I tried to plan a dinner for my twin childrens 18th birthday. I called the Cheesecake Factory to make reservations, but they told me that they dont take reservations. The Cheesecake Factory suggested that I come to the restaurant by myself 1 hour before the time I wanted to sit down and wait while the rest of my party showed up. I did as they suggested. When I first got to the restaurant, they told me that I was way to early to ask for a table for one hour later, so I sat and waited for the seating lady to tell me when to put my name in for a table of 10. She called me over 25 minutes later and then told me that the table would not be available for at least another 90 minutes. I then spoke to the manager, who told me that there was nothing to be done. I called the rest of my family and had them meet me at Portabellos in Oakland. Do not plan to eat at this restaurant for anything more significant than a "were at the mall anyway" dinner.

Overated and below average. I ordered a Cobb Salad (grilled chicken, hard boiled eggs, fresh avocado, tomato, bacon, blue cheese and "house vinaigrette"). It came with lettuce the perfect size to disguise how little of all the other ingredients there were. I realized there was actually bacon in it after the fourth or fifth bite - wondering what the hard, unchewable bites were, and had to dig really deep for the grilled chicken. It had three or four TINY slices of avocado on it. The "vinaigrette", which I asked for on the side was a creamy balsamic type concoction. Could have been vinegarette, but… not what i expected. OH, by the way, there was not blue cheese in the salad. Instead it seemed like really low-quality mozzarella. The waitress was accommodating and friendly, not at first, but she warmed up because I was extremely friendly and patient. She was however, quick to replace the cheese when I brought it up… wish I had brought up all the other failing points of this visit...

Weve been going to this restaurant since the first week it opened, today however, 6/5, I came across the worst server Ive ever met there. His name was Mike G. He was the slowest guy ever and took forever for everything. He took so long from the drinks to the complimentary bread. I asked simply for a coffee and it took forever. He walked very slow without a care in the world. When I finally got the coffee, first he slammed it on the table and then I asked him if he gave me cream or milk, he said to me, "I dont know, you find out." Wow!!!! So professional of him!!!! It was five of us and everyone in my table was unhappy with his attitude and rudeness. We didnt wanna make a scene there or address the issue. Also, I didnt want to give a bad image for the place because I figured its not the places fault, just the server. Regardless of the service, they have excellent food and Ive never had any problems with anyone there before.

I just wanted to share the horrible dinner experience I encountered and the insulting resolution from management at this location. While eating dinner with my family, I found an elastic band in my California Guacamole Salad. I informed the waiter, at which time he informed his manager. The manager approached our table, apologized and asked if I wanted a new salad. I refused the offer and informed the manager that I was not going to pay for the salad. The manager apologized again and walked away. The regional manager was at the location and approached our table and apologized as well. He asked if if he could make it up to me by offering me a piece of cheesecake!!! How insulting a piece of cheesecake are you kidding me!!! Forget the fact that their was an elastic band in my food that could have resulted in me getting sick, but I was offered a piece of cheesecake, great customer service.
