I cannot express how absolutely WONDERFUL Il Tulipano was for our wedding! From the ceremony in the garden to the reception in the ballroom, everything was PERFECT. Greg Jr. is AMAZING- he was so much fun to talk to, understood what I wanted, and made sure my night went exactly how it was supposed to. He was there for the rehearsal as well as the entire wedding night and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made sure that I got everything I wanted done.. he said he would even full these little cones of flowers on the day of the wedding!! (we ended up getting them done earlier, but he really made us feel that he would do absolutely anything for us). The matre D and the other woman were soooooooo helpful. They were there for me, the groom, and even my mom through the whole night. Literally ANYTHING we wanted or needed they were there. The matre d even sewed my dress back together during the reception when it ripped while I was dancing! She held my lip gloss, helped me change from my heels to flip flops like 4 times, and got me w/e I wanted to drink all the time. She also made sure that my husband and I sat down during the cocktail hour and brought us all the food we wanted. She and the other assistant were delightful and SUCH a hugeeeee help. They as well as all of the other staff completely blew my expectations. The food was incredible.. my guests are still raving at how wonderful and delicious everything was. To be honest, most people said it was the best wedding they have been to! It was everything I dreamed of and more!!!!!

I have been to many events at Il Tulipano - everything from weddings to corporate functions to smaller family gatherings, and I have *never* had a bad experience. The food has always been top-notch, and certain dishes in particular are just out-of-this-world. The family that owns it has Italian roots, and it still shows in their foods quality and presentation. Most comforting to me is that a good buddy of mine who worked there for over four years said that *he* would recommend the place without hesitation due to their clean kitchen practices. (I am not sure if you can say that about some of the bigger places in the area.) Honestly I went to eight weddings in one year alone in North Jersey, there are only two other places besides Il Tulipano that do weddings and similar events that EVEN TOUCH Il Tulipanos food and presentation (holy nice garden, Batman!). Those two places are The Palace (in Somerset, i.e. the one seen on Bridezillas) and the Brownstone in Paterson. Unfortunately, The Palace is absurdly expensive, and the Brownstone is in the ghetto (Sorry, but it is). Il Tulipano beats them both. Try Il Tulipanos amatriciana (a pasta sauce, silly), salmon with dill sauce, salt-crusted snapper or grouper, chateaubriand, fried zucchini blossoms, fresh seafood cocktail (crab, shrimp, etc.) and any dessert they serve (Viennese table = AWESOME). Youll love it.

This venue is a gem. After looking for what seemed like a lifetime searching for a wedding venue, I came across this truely exceptional place. The food and service were second to none. I was so incredibly happy to see my guest enjoying the food and drinks. The entire process from planning and preparation to final execution flowed perfectly without a hitch. Every single staff member worked like a fine oiled machine producing a high quality experience I wouldve gladly done 100 times over. Even my pickiest guest were attended to quickly and effectively. I honestly felt I got every pennys worth Il Tulipano. The people running this place know what theyre doing and will give you 110%.

First I got the receptionist so I asked for the manager. As she said that the manager is having lunch, he jumped in the phone. So rude. Yelling. Screaming. Talking on top. Thinking hes smarter than anyone else. I cant believe I even considered them. I almost cried. After hanging up, I have to sit for a few minutes to gather myself. Can you trust such a person to do your food? It might look good but who knows if they spit on it?

We got married here in May 2017 and everything was perfect. The team at Il Tulipano was amazing. It was a nice day so we were able to utilize the outdoor deck and patio which allowed enough room for guests to sit during cocktail hour. The food was outstanding and our guests are still talking about how good it was. Overall, we were extremely happy with choosing Il Tulipano for our wedding.
