UGH! I really wanted to like this place because its so close to my house. HOWEVERRRRRRR .... I have naturally curly afro textured hair. I went there for a normal blow out. I know not everyone understands my hair type so i came with my hair already washed, detangeled and deep conditioned to bare both of us the misery (them trying to figure out how to do it, and me being in pain) so they proceeded to rinse out the deep conditioner in my hair that i came with. that went fine. I wanted to be put in rollers but they informed me that just blowing it out would be fine. I went along with it (being put in rollers first and sitting under the dryer would cause less tension to the hair and scalp) but whatever. I was the only person there but for some reason there were 3 different people touching my hair as if they were busy. From what I could understand they were training a new girl on how to do a blow out on my hair. I really dont appreciate that im going to be paying you and youre going to TRAIN someone on my head. If you need to train someone you offer a FREE service in exchange for your employee getting trained and being allowed to make mistakes. Anyways, as you can image she burned me. Ive burned myself before and have been burned before but this was the WORST of my life! BECAAAUUSEEE they didnt listen to me and just started to blow out my soaking wet hair instead of putting it in rollers first where it would have been dry already, the water that was on my scalp ended up boiling so to speak on my scalp. I didnt mean to be rude but it was a natural reaction when i yanked my head away from her. anyways, they gave me a different hair stylist & I toughed it out and finished getting my hair done because i know blow outs can be painful READ THIS PART IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE: about 2 days later i felt a huge scab form where she burned me, i expected it and was annoyed but figured it would go away soon and all would be well. WELL..... i washed my hair out about a week later. I separated it into 4 sections. it was the back left side of my head she burned. When i washed my hair, my hair started falling out in CLUMPSSS CLUMPSSS where she burned me. long story short i now have a small bald patch in the back of my head. im SOOO annoyed!! They charged me $47 which makes 0 sense because my hair was already washed and deep conditioned! In other dominican spots it cost me roughly $35 and they wash and condition my hair for me. Obviously im never going here again. My hair turned out nice which is why i gave them 2 stars. If you dont care about getting a bald spot then sure you can come here. smh. NEVER has this happened to me before.

Sent my daughter in for a regular doobie and they asked her did she want this and that and charged her for it when all she wanted was a simple doobie. And being it was NOT HER FIRST TIME they could have looked in her past visits and saw she only gets regular doobies... but the one time i did not stay with my 14 year old they looked for ways to get extra money... charging for things i always say no to.(smh) wont ever come back!! And they take too long anyway what normally is an hour and a half anywhere else is 3 hours there.

All the staff were friendly and accommodating. I was pretty much in and out. Which was great!!! They have several different deep conditioner options and they dont just do doobies. They actually do other hairstyles, work with natural hair and extensions. Which I find to be rare when going to a dominican hair salon. I will definitely be going back. Ive already referred two of my friends after just my first experience.

This place is horrible! One day I went to get my hair done and PSEG came to turn off their lights. No doobie that day. Once upon a time they were pretty good. Theyve changed the name recently. Avoid this place, the women are very rude!!
