This review is in regards to the Poughkeepsie location; I booked an appointment only to be told I was never actually booked and it took me two phone calls and close to 20 minutes to resolve that. I show up for my appointment, on time, only to be told that my hair was located at the Kingston location but was on its way. It took close to 25 minutes for my hair to show up. The stylist could not color my natural hair until my extensions arrived so it was a complete waste of time. The manager and I had spoken the night before and was aware that time was of the essence for me; I was falsely assured that what I wanted done could be done in the time that I had. I find it ridiculous that after we had a detailed discussion about time, that my hair would not be at the proper location at the time of my appointment. I needed a complete coloring as well but got a poorly done coloring on my roots and a glaze over old dye. The whole experience was further botched by the actual installation of the hair. I purchased hair that was in three lengths as my hair falls a lil below my shoulders. The stylist did not realize this and subsequently it doesnt blend...at all. I look like I have a mullet. The coloring of the extensions do not match my hair which makes it even worse. I will be contacting them on Tuesday morning in the hopes of getting this fixed. I would not recommend this location, maybe the Kingston salon is more organized.

I got Japanese Hair Straightening through this salon. It took about 4 to 4.5 hours and looked amazing when completed. I have since washed my hair and my hair is still perfectly straight with hardly any frizz. Everyone there (staff and other customers) were extremely nice and welcoming. The salon itself is beautiful and features a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this salon for any type of hair straightening as I cannot complain from the results that I received. Their prices are also extremely reasonable and I plan on being a repeat customer. The only minor criticism I have is that when I was getting my hair straightened, it would have been nicer if the girl (who was awesome by the way) would have explained the steps that she was going through as she treated my hair. That way I could have been more knowledgeable for future straightening treatments and know what to expect. Also, they didnt do the strand test to check the elasticity of the hair before washing off the treatment - so I am not sure on how she knew how long to leave it in. However, if you are in the market for straightening - this salon is the place to go.

WEDDING TRIAL DISASTER!! UNORGANIZED. I made an appointment weeks in advance to have my wedding hair and makeup trial done for my Bridal Shower. 1st they sent me a confirmation that was for 10am but when I got there it was in the computer for 10:30am. 2nd I requested for the OWNER to do my hair and makeup and when I get there the receptionist said the OWNER DOESNT DO hair and makeup for wedding!! 3rd the "replacement" hair and makeup artist came in to take care of me BUT HAD NO IDEA SHE WAS DOING MY HAIR she thought she was only doing my makeup. This is not how I want to spend my BRIDAL SHADOW morning, AND if this is way love hair salon conducts their business I want NO PARTS TO THAT. I WILL NEVER RISK GOING THERE AGAIN. EXPECIALLY FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY OF MY LIFE. (Poughkeepsie Location)

I stopped into Love Hair after finding them on Facebook. I have been trying to update my look and had Justine do my brows. I absolutely loved them! Now this is more than a nail salon wax job. Justine shaped, filled and highlighted my brow. She also gave me tips on how to keep up the look. Justine also took the time talking with me to figure out if lash extensions or strips would be a better option for me. We decided on the strips. She showed me how to apply them and while I was apprehensive at first (not being used to having such glamorous lashes) she promised I would get used to them. well after the first compliment, I was used to them. I get compliments ALL THE TIME now. I even bought a second pair. Cant wait to try some of their other services.

I have been coming here for years and am so surprised to hear of that lash experience! Justine applied my lashes perfectly. It was my first time and I asked that they look natural. Not only did she accomplish that, she shaped my eyebrows like Ive never had before. Tia does my extensions and they also always look natural. Everyone here is so genuinely down to earth and professional. Tyra is always there to help. My natural hair grows quickly and healthy because not only is Tia on top of style she actually cares about how your hair is being cared for. I reccomend this place all the time and honestly wouldnt go anywhere else.

Worst eyelash extensions of my life! Technician was so busy talking on the phone and meeting her boyfriend, while I was having lashes done basically in the waiting room, she must not have been able to concentrate on the lashes. They were horrific, totally clumpy and with dried white sealant on them. They were painful because they were too close to the skin in clumps. Had to pay to have them removed the next day. Worst ever!

I trust Johnna and Tia with my hair, and have been going to the salon for over a year. They are always kind and the shop has a laid back but professional atmosphere . I never get a sense of catty-ness between any of the stylists, you can tell they are genuinely long time friends as well as business colleagues. I would say I feel that they have become friends of mine who I would invite over!

I just had Keratin treatment at Love Hair with Yolanda. The service was great, Yolanda was very careful and answered all of my questions. I have virgin hair and was a little nervous about introducing a new treatment to my hair. The ladies in the salon were professional and patient and let me know what to expect in the next few days. My hair looks great and I will be back!

Ive been a customer of Love Hair for about 2 years now. I am treated much more than just a customer almost like a friend. The staff is very sincere. The quality of work is fabulous. They use all top quality products and the girls know what theyre doing. The salon is also GORGEOUS. They work on all types of hair. A must try.. you wont be disappointed.

they very unprofessional, called a week in advance for an estimate after which i made an appointment, when i showed up and the person saw the length of my hair, all of a sudden they didnt know how to do what the said the could a week before. really poor business etiquette. dont waste your time with them.

I always go see Maria and she is amazing!!! Not only is she so kind and welcoming, but she really knows how to treat hair. I cant stop playing with my hair right now because it is so silky and the color is so beautiful! I really cannot praise her enough.
