Do not be fooled the one star reviews are absolutely 100% accurate! The other reviews are in my opinion fabricated by the company and or its employees. The reviews have nothing good to say, only offer a rating of stars. Everything said in the "bad reviews" are are true. I myself was also sold a premium membership without the benefits of being a premium member. I myself have had conflicts with employees from the gym about guests privileges and entering the gym 2 - 3 minutes after the 9 pm cut off time. I will explain shortly. Firstly I would like to add my review is unbiased and has nothing to do with any personal grudge or relationship with any employee of the gym. Its based solely off of many experiences since the opening of the gym. Going forward the opening date of the gym was pushed back I believe twice, come grand opening day excited and awaiting a fresh new gym environment and none of the amenities are functional only the weight room. Pool to this day not open and will not be for maybe another 2 weeks, sauna and steam room not operational, juice bar promised not given. Instead they have two blenders behind the check in desk for the employees in the front desk to make smoothies. Many people like myself signed up for all the amenities and membership perks offered at time of purchase such as guest privileges and guest being allowed to enjoy the full reaping of the gym including but not limited to pool, steam rooms, sauna, & basketball courts. I and others myself where sold based solely off of that information not to mention the other favorable bonuses such as a salon, boxing room and cycling room. There is not salon no boxing room and members are not allowed into the cycling room because " people break things" name of quoted text will not be mentioned! I have over heard the sales representatives offering benefits to new members that are not true. So when other people review and say they were sold a lie its true. The customer service is horrible and is executed horribly by the manager and members of corporate. The people who should be more understanding of certain situations. They have no regard for customers and devalue them and their business. Ive been told multiple times by many different employees that if I didnt like a specific thing about the gym I can happily cancel my membership... umm arent you suppose to want to keep your customers? They constantly harass my guess by long procedures to make them sign up for a membership. Umm isnt that the reason I purchased and pay for a premium membership with guest privileges! So my guest would not have to. The icing on the cake is the corporate man by the name of Jimmy which is all I got because apparently no one in the gym knows his last name. Told me, rudely that they do not allow guest after 9 pm up until 5 am because at that time thats when the "thieves and criminals" come. I walked in at 904pm and explained that I was a bit caught up and there was a line to check in. As our conversation continued I mentioned that I was sold 24 hr guest privileges and now its changed and its a inconvenience and he stated we will never allow guest past 9pm and if you dont like it i can help you cancel your membership. Corporate speaking, right but I went to the queens location which happily let me and my guest in 3 weeks ago at 1030pm. Finally, just overall dissatisfied with my experience and how things are handled. Still waiting for a perfect gym.

I went to the Xsport this weekend with my girlfriend and we were excited about the prospect of getting new gym memberships. The gym is so close and convenient we just couldnt pass up the opportunity. We were greeted almost immediately at the front desk and offered a tour which was great. The gym is beautiful and perfectly laid out and has some awesome amenities. But that is where the good experience ended. The person giving us the tour was just AWFUL!! He immediately started complaining about how tired he was which was why he wasnt giving good information about the facility. He took me into the mens locker room and showed me the 3 saunas I could use but huge signs on the door read "OUT OF ORDER". He also stated the pool would be open in about a week, but reading the other goigle reviews, it appears that has been the case for the past month or so. We continued the tour and really liked the facility. It was clean and had plenty of equipment for our workout. When we sat down do discuss membership options thats when the real horror began. Instead of giving us the plans with the pricing he asked us what WE wanted. I couldnt say what we wanted because I had no information on pricing. He wrote some numbers on a piece of paper and placed it in front of me. It was like pulling teeth to get him to explain what those numbers meant and what was included in the plans. We asked him at least 3 times for some written literature from XSPORT showing details about the plans and our requests were ignored. We asked one final time and it look like it pained him to pull out a book with the numerous plans xsport had available; Many of which he never even discussed with us including a plan for people who lived in the same household which is something we would have been very interested in. He left the desk several times while we were trying to discuss the different plans and pricing. He even seemed to zone out while I was asking a question about plan options and charges. He consistently tried to steer us away from plans we thought would be beneficial to us and only wanted to give us what he thought we should have. We were never even offered a trial membership. We were immediately turned off by the experience but really like the gym with its emenities and convenience to our work and home. Not sure if or when we will go back but if we did someone would have to show me that Xsport cares about its customers and is willing to show us what the gym has to offer for my money. I hope they instill in their employees that they represent the company and customer service is a very important part of maintaining customer relationships.

Uughhhh where do i start... this complaint is for the xsport gym at the bay plaza mall. First thing first Im very disappointment by my experience with the pool which is one of the main reason i joined. Apparently your only allowed to wear bathingsuit in the pool.. not everyone is comfortable with their bodies so for them to stop me while about to enter the pool in a tank top over my bathing suit was so irritating!! Not everyone is comfortable with their bodies... its a gym.. so to tell me i cant cover up a lil with a over shirt is ridiculous. Next... i was in the pool weeks later... with my "bathing suit" feeling very uncomfortable. after about 15 mins in the pool a couple other ppl came.. as began staring at the pool... i began to wonder why.. like.. get it. why u ppl staring?? Suddenly.. the lifeguard told me shes giving me another 5 mins because only 1 person is allowed in a lane at a time... i was so surprised that his huge pool with 3 lanes only allow 3 ppl in it at a time. That pissed me off so much that i just got out immediately!! Never been back since. And thats almost 2 months ago. Next.. when i signed up they ask me if i was interested in xfit (interval training) i told the guy NO! i just want a simple membership with pool and classes. He said okay.. my first bill from xsport turned out to be $40 for the membership and $55 for the xfit.. i was very shocked!!! Cuz i told the guy i wasnt intersted. I never used xfit.. i never knew i had xfit. I went into the store very upset. They told me they cant refund me because i signed the waiver.. which i had no idea i did.. and they made me sign a CANCELLATION form!! Right.... okay cool.. Forward to my next month bill now... i was charged once again.. $40 for membership and $55 AGAIN!! for xfit which i CANCELLED IN STORE. so now i call "corporate" since they are responsible for billing.. and they are telling me.. they didnt receive the cancellation form that i filled out in the store. And since i dont still have my copy of it. I have to go in the store again!! And fill out another one!!! I am beyond upset... dont join xsport fitness is my recommendation. Stick to $10 a month planetfitness.
