WARNING INCOMPETENCE AND DANGER TO YOUR HAIR My girlfriend just returned from here in tears. She called her old Aveda location to get the formulation for her process which she brought with her. The completely INCOMPETENT staff told her that it was incorrect but that theyd do it anyway. Apparently they arent familiar with Aveda products because they mixed it incorrectly and burned her scalp with the wrong chemicals. After she told them that she was in EXTREME pain they washed it out and tried again in front of her, and she was instantly able to recognize that they were using the wrong chemicals. Her hair is now FALLING OUT and she is extremely upset. She feels that shes wasted her money and has been traumatized. DONT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON

If you care at all what your hair looks like when you leave here, do not get your hair cut at this place. I went for a trim and ended up leaving with 6 inches cut off; but that wasnt even the worst part. She cut so much off the front that I have a thick bang that went around my entire head. Then she proceeded to try drying my hair with a diffuser, because its curly, while at the same time combing it. Anyone who knows anything about curly hair knows you dont comb it. It looked like an absolute and total mess, I was embarrassed to walk home. i am not someone who is very picky about my hair, it grows back, but for the last two weeks Ive had to clip back bangs I never asked for. I think the womans name was Sandy, so beware.

My mom made an appointment for spa (packaged) treatments a few weeks ago. Her appointment was at 3:00 pm today. At 1:30 pm, someone from the spa called her and told her they had moved her appointment to 4:30 pm. When she walked into the salon, they looked at her as if she didnt belong there. Then, instead of giving her the one-hour treatments shed paid for (massage and hot-stones), they gave her a 35-minute salt water bath! My mom felt that they switched her package because she used the coupon they offered on their website to first-time customers. My mom was very sad and disappointment. It was my her birthday gift, and she was really looking forward to it. Im so disgusted with this spa. I would never recommend it to anyone!

I would like to share a wonderful experience of an afternoon spent at Irene DINOV salon. The salon is by far one of the best in the area where salons are a dime a dozen. The salon atmosphere and professionalism are exceptional. My NEW hairdresser Lisa is amazing! I was totally relaxed and comfortable with her decisions on my hair makeover (color, keratin treatment & cut). Highly recommend Lisa. You will not be disappointed.

Got a haircut here the other day. Was recommended by a friend, and Im glad that he did. Im very satisfied and I am definitely coming back. The lady that cut my hair was friendly and knew what she was doing. The atmosphere is also very nice.

Terrible cuts, over priced and heavily overwhelmed by chemicals. Go to Josephs in Park Slope (7th ave). Theyre great!
