After performing a google search for quality general contractors, I came across Mr. Khan’s website. I called him up on a Sunday morning. He was at my house that same afternoon to look over the space and provide me with an estimate. The job itself required breaking down a wall and creating a hallway to connect two staircases. It was a fairly intricate process. But Mr. Khan had a fool-proof plan from the moment he saw the workspace. I was impressed by his knowledge and detailed analysis so I decided to forgo any other estimates and gave him a down payment on the spot. He was there the next morning by 8am and began with demolition. For the next 7 days (including Saturday and Sunday) he was at my house promptly at 8:30am and worked straight through until well into the evening. Within one week he had built an amazing hallway, added beautiful light fixture and adjusted the location of some baseboard heating (that was in the path of the hall he was building). Then on the other side of the hallway he replaced the wall to actually make the rental apartment (that lost some square footage during this construction) appear to be nicer than it was when he started! I have never seen such dedication to a craft like I did when watching him work. I will definitely refer him to all my friends and coworkers who are in need of a good contractor.

We had been putting off restoring our Brooklyn brownstone facade for many years. We finally decided to go with Mr. Khan. His references were excellent, the work we saw was first-rate, and his price was reasonable. We were not disappointed. He has a work crew of several men who come nearly every day. Mr Khan appreciates that redoing a facade causes inconvenience for people living in the building and he did not want the job to take any longer than was necessary. I really appreciated that. The restoration of the facade, including the elaborate flower brackets around the windows, was beautiful. He took special care not to disturb the adjacent buildings and his workers were neat, friendly, and completely reliable. Mr. Khan himself was a pleasure to work with and was always available for updates. I recommend him without qualification!

He finished the job in the time frame that was given us. He, himself, does the work and came to work everyday. Mr. Khan did my kitchen backsplash back in November -- He was very accommodating of my schedule and was able to squeeze me in with short notice. He was honest and laid out my choices very clearly --explaining the differences between the type of tile glue, shape, impact of wall angles, etc and was upfront about associated costs.
