This builder built a house next door to us and its been a horrific experience. The very first issue was when, on Christmas eve 2014, a child nearly died after slipping and falling into the foundation hole they dug because they did not properly fence off the area or cap the re-bar sticking out of the foundation. While walking around the perimeter, the ground gave way and the toddler slipped down into the hole and purely by grace landed between two spikes of re-bar. That was our initial introduction to the owner and many, many issues ensued. Burkes workers trespassed on our property while we were at work with a huge piece of heavy machinery that collapsed into our backyard and exposed an old septic tank buried 6-8 feet underground. They also cracked our neighbors driveway in several places and have never fixed that. They broke the side mirror off our truck and have not fixed that - and the list goes on and on. The Rumson police have been called numerous times for trespassing since and the Rumson Zoning and Building department is aware of the situation and the numerous offenses and has promised that the CO will not be made available until Burke Construction has corrected all issues. The house is still unfinished (2.5 yrs later) and falling into a state of dilapidation due to neglect. Buyer beware.

Burke built a home next door to me. They caused extensive property damage to my property and that of my neighbors. 2 years later, the home still isnt sold and the sump pump in the basement is pumping water onto my lawn, driveway and pooling next to my foundation.
