I had a sidewalk violation in the sidewalk in front of my Forest Hills house. Sclafmore repair the problem as described in the contract, and promised to remove the violation. The repair was done well, but the wood frame (and sign) were not removed for weeks. I called the office once or twice a week for at least 5 weeks, and nothing was done. At that period the city official came to inspect and did not remove the violation b/c the wood was still around the concrete. Fed up, I called the office again and threaten to report to the BBB. At that point they did come and remove the wood frames. However, by that time I sold my house and had a $10,000 lean against the side walk violation. It took another 3 months for all of it to clear, I had to pay extra for my lawyer and had to go to Queens Court to have an official letter that the violation was removed. All would have been done if only Sclafmore would have removed the wood on time. So DO NOT use this company if you need to have any official record related to the work they do. An official complain to the BBB to follow.

I had a large job to be done in the front yard and sidewalk. I was putting it off do the fact i really didnt trust anyones hearsay. I called John and Ralph for an estimate and was plesantly surprised with the price. Yet it was a large job and still very expensive still. I look at other jobs they had done and i really liked thear work, I finally gave in and had the work done. I was reasured that if i was not happy i didnt have to pay the last payment. They started the work all 100% professional from the start. They got all the necessary permits from the city by the way was all included in the price. their workers where all proffessional and curteous. The job was done quickly extremely clean and with a beautiful result. I am extremely happy that i made the right choice with Scalfmore constrution. I would definelty use them again and again. I just had my kitchen completely renovated by Sclafmore Construction (gas, water and heating pipes relocated, walls taken down to the studs, etc.) and I can’t even put into words what a phenomenal job they did! The kitchen I had imagined is the kitchen I got! Ralph gave me an extremely reasonable estimate for the amount of work that had to be done. He promptly returned all phone calls and came to the job site often to check in. The Sclafmore construction crew was wonderful – professional, polite, reliable and a pleasure to work with and to have in my home (and they kept the work site clean). There were no hidden costs, no delays, no construction horror stories. Steve, Andrew, Mike, Jack and Kenny – I can’t say thank you enough! I highly recommend Sclafmore Construction and they will be my number one choice for future renovation projects.

Sclafmore Construction recently completed a home renovation for me. What a wonderful job they did! Looking for the right contractor is always a trying process. I was highly satisfied with Sclafmore Construction. Ralph Morea is professional, courteous, and extremely reliable. In addition, Ralph has a great eye for detail. I highly value honesty from the people I hire, and Ralph did not disappoint me in the least. He is up front and informative. There were no surprises. All of his workers share the same values and professionalism. It was easy to welcome them into my home. Renovations can be very stressful, but this was not the case with Sclafmore. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future. Thank you Sclafmore!

I recently bought a 1920s home in Astoria, Queens. Its a fixer upper and that included the back yard. The concrete patio was cracked and pot holed. The patio stones the former owner put in were dated. I had huge dead tree and the place was overgrown with vegetation of various sorts-vines, rose bushes, corn, etc. I called Sclafmore Construction for a back yard make over. The guys came over a shredded all the veg. They took the tree down and cleaned up the yard. Then the next day they poured fresh concrete and the day after, came the bricks. I now have two beautiful brick patios with some growing areas that are easily controlled. The guys were great to work with and very professional.

My wife and I were tired of cutting our 7 foot hew tree and the hedges on both sides of our property in Maspeth. After seeing work done in our neighborhood we asked people about work done by Sclafmore and other contractors. We liked the work that was done by Sclafmore and decided to hire them. They just completed the work which included removing the large tree and all its roots plus the pain in the next hedges. They put up brick walls in place of the hedges with gray granite on top of the brick wall and pavers up the walk way and a new sidewalk. Every one that passes my houses says what a wonderful they did and I have to agree 100%

I needed extensive brick work done to my home as well as a concrete driveway and sidewalk replacement. After six different construction estmates a friend referred me to Sclafmore.Ralph(owner) not only gave me the best price for my buck, he had a 4 to 6 man crew at my house everyday. It only took 6 working days as opposed to two weeks as everybody sugested.Two contractors that I was going to use in the neighborhood complimented the work I was proud to say.

This company made an appointment with me in order to look over the work I need done on my home. Never showed up and didnt even have the courtesy to inform me they wouldnt be keeping the appointment or to pick up the phone when I tried calling more than once
