Let me say that we came here because it was close to the theater we were all at and it got great reviews. Well, the food was okay. Our waiter seemed in over his head. The place was busy but not insane. It seems he had too many tables. We put in a order for appetizers and and entree for the kids to eat because they were starving. Their entree came in about 10 minutes and they began eating. The adults were hanging drinking wine and about 3 times the waiter came over to tell us our food would be coming out any second. About a half hour later after the kids had already finished their entree and fallen asleep I asked the waiter what was taking so long and he again said it was coming right out. 2 minutes later he came and asked what we ordered just to "make sure." Keep in mind we had already ordered our entrees too and it was about the time they were due out. He came back and said he forgot to put our order in and that it would be right out. OK. As much as this is in inconvenience, it happens. No biggie. I asked him if the entrees were ready and if they would be fresh in 20 minutes when we were ready for them and he said of course they wouldnt be sitting there for 20 minutes unnerved. Well the appetizers eventually came and they were actually quite delicious. Then the entrees came out 10 minutes later and none of the 3 steaks we had ordered were cooked correctly. My girlfriends wasnt even hot. They were all overcooked. It was clear that the order for the entrees was put in on time but the appetizers werent. So they had to put our dishes aside so the apps could come out. Then they must have reheated all of our entrees to serve us, overcooking them in the process. At this point we were so hungry and annoyed we just wanted to eat and leave. The kids had already been sleeping for an hour and we didnt want to keep then there any longer then needed. Then we received our bill and it was outrageous. We had 2 $35 bottles of wine and 1 other cocktail. The kids split an entree and with 4 adults and 2 kids somehow our bill was just under $400. I can understand if we were with a lot more people and we had a lot of alcohol but I cannot see how 5 entrees, 3 apps, and 2 bottles of wine came to $389. Honestly we were too tired and annoyed to argue. We paid our bill and left. I probably wont be going back any time soon.

One June 13th I married the Love of my life at ilfornetto ... I had looked at many locations , I looked at wedding forums , spoke to friends and couldnt find anything affordable . I found ilfornetto on Google and my fiancé and I decided to go and have dinner . The food was excellent!! Before leaving we inquired about renting out a portion for a small wedding dinner party. We reviewed the prices and decided that we could afford a larger crowd of 95 guest .. We made our deposit on the spot. In the months approaching the wedding the staff was beyond helpful . They assisted me with the menu , they even allowed me to work out the seating arrangements in person so that I could have a better view of how things would look on my special day . The view from the party room was Amazing !! Several of my wedding pictures capture the boats and the swans in the background . The attention to service on the day of the wedding was top notch .. I was worried that the food might not be as good as it was in the restaurant section due to the 90+ crowd , but every plate was arranged nicely and the food was cooked perfectly . All of our guest raved about the food and the service . My fiancé and I had a very small wedding budget and we didnt think that we could have a dream wedding at that price . Thanks to ilfornetto we were able to do it . The staff that evening was the BEST !!!! After the party was done I met with all of the staff to thank them for the attentive service .. I recommend ilfornetto to any couple wanting to have a special evening while remaining within a affordable budget. P.S Thanks again to All of the staff that helped make my wedding day a success... I just returned home from hosting my Daughters Bridal shower here. It was wonderful! The food was fantastic! Cooked to order, it came out beautifully presented and delicious. The choices pleased everyone in our crowd of 50+! Some in our group had special dietary needs. There were a few vegetarians, vegans and people who are Kosher and the kitchen handeled it flawlessly! Every one of our guests were delighted with their meal! That is amazing!!! Everyone working here make you feel welcomed and like you are at home. The level of service and care the wait staff took of our guests was fantastic! The room we held the shower in is beautiful with views of the water. This place is a complete gem! I cant thank the Owners and staff enough for making our shower so memorable. One of the women said, "You worked so hard to make it perfect, and it was!" Thank you il Fornetto for treating my family and friends like they were your own family. We will be back when we come to town, and Im sure everyone who attended and live close will become loyal customers. It was more than I could have hoped for. Again, thank you so much, Kathy Milazzo

The view of the river is beautiful. Service is also very good. Parking is very limit. Food is okay, I was hoping to be excellent from other reviews. I order a plate of seafood and the lobster was not the freshest. It also came with too much tomato sauce. Its the worst thing to order, very messy and troublesome to crack the shell. Stay with white sauce and meat. None of the seafood we ordered was excellent, more like below average. Just notice that almost all the reviews this week are bad. The head chef might be on vacation or fired. Would go back only if we can sit near the deck with view of the river. Otherwise its a NO and no seafood.

The food here is amazing. They have both street parking and a private lot. Sitting in the main restaurant is nce. It overlooks the water and you can see swans. The service is also great. Waiters are friendly and very professional. I love their salad with the goat cheese. The pasta Fornetto is a MUST have. The wine list is very good and pretty inexpensive. The place is always clean and the bathrooms are very well kept. They even have a side room for private functions and a front dinning area to eat at either the bar or small high tops. Music is good and the bar had a few televisions,

Went Tuesday June 6th with my wife. Parked right away. Seated right away by the windows. Server Peter was very friendly and explained the specials i ordered the squid ink linguine. We had shrimp cocktail, baked clams. My wife had the pasta fornetto. For dessert we had tiramisu and the fried banana. Each dish was great, presented beautifully if you care about that sort of thing. I dont i care about taste and it was very good. Food was timed well also. A very nice time and I look forward to going back.
