Did not have a great experience here, twice. First time I thought maybe a fluke, so I gave it another go. Second time was the same. Customer service was pretty bad, I ordered a sandwich which I never got. I asked two different people at the counter to check on the status after waiting over 15min for it. They both said "yeah yeah its being made" without checking with anyone or even looking to see if it was. Finally I found a third person who worked there and asked them. They checked and of course they hadnt started the sandwich, no one even seem to know I had ordered it. I had already paid and asked for a refund since I was running extremely late. They couldnt give me one because of their computer system and so I had to leave and I currently have still not received a refund. The food itself was hit or miss. Some items were good and some were dry and a bit flavorless. I am mostly upset about the terrible customer service. I would recommend Shelskys catering around the corner for prepared foods and sandwiches instead!

I live in the neighborhood and have been their client since they opened. They serve a very wealthy clientele, Brooklyn brownstonelandia. The food is overpriced and often bland. I used to return there anyway because occasionally I found items I liked. To his credit Id mention that the owner does not employ illegal immigrants; however, you often encounter subtle arrogance from the personnel. The last straw for me was when the owner agreed in principle to refund me for a spoiled food item but when I brought it he was "unavailable, declined to call me as promised or return my phone calls. This is arrogance, pure and simple, because he doesnt need you as a customer, being that amazingly there isnt much competition to his business in this rich neighborhood. I havent set foot in that store since.

Tiny storefront for catering operation. Store contains both hard-to-find items as well as a rotating selection of prepared foods from the catering menu. Stop in to watch the good looking chefs work in the kitchen while picking up salami from sustainable and humane D’Artagnan or wheatless brownies that feature rich fudge. Cheese selection contains both standards and a few stinkers that probably just made it into the US under their 90-day pasteurization requirements. The staff clearly makes an attempt to stand out and it shows in the selection of products and creativity of the prepared foods.

You are really paying top dollar for the food. Its worth it, but the service makes it more of a tossup than it needs to be. I was delighted to see that they had an instant deal on living social. Again, the poor service and misinformation ruined it. They charged me full price insisting that Living Social would refund me. Found out today that is wrong. The company will refund the purchase price of the voucher, but my ten dollars in savings are gone. My dissatisfaction means I may not go back or if I do, just what I came in for.

The negative reviews seem to be from people with specific and often questionable situations. I can tell you that we needed catering for 30 on one day notice and these guys not only delivered but did so professionally. And the food was solid. Especially impressed that the "cater waiter" was far more; she was an actual qualified chef who knew how to handle and present food. Truly impressed.

The pretzel rolls are the most amazing brunch treat ever. Lots of veggie sides and the quinoa cakes are pretty amazing too. Friendly, Brooklyn-style staff. Also, their Event Manager, Sara will go above and beyond for your event, definitely the key to a successfully catered and staffed party!

I have tried several of the dishes and have been more than satisfied each time. The sweet potato puree and pesto pasta(forgot actual name) are really great. The staff is friendly and give great suggestions if you are overwhelmed with the many choices.

The place is very clean, the people are personable, the service is impeccable, the selection and presentation of the food is outstanding, but most of all the food is absolutely delicious!! Thank you, for being there for me, my family and friends!!!!

Very tasty prepared foods, though some dishes get very expensive very quickly, like brussel sprouts. The chicken meal is a fantastic deal, and they often have Jewish holiday foods like latkes.
